Kevin Rogers ACMA CGMA | Chief Executive
A qualified accountant and Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants,
Kevin joined Paycare as Operations Director in 2009 following a successful career at Tarmac
in Wolverhampton, as well as holding senior finance positions across the manufacturing sector,
and he was appointed Chief Executive of Paycare in 2013. Kevin is a lifelong Wolves fan.
Anthony Burns | Head of Sales and Marketing
A true ‘people person’, Anthony leads, inspires and motivates the sales
and marketing departments to ensure that they not only achieve Paycare’s
commercial aims, but that the organisation is promoted to the right
people, in the right way, and always congruent with its values.
Saranjit Nagra | Compliance Manager
Saranjit keeps the wheels turning at Paycare and ensures that the compliance side of the
business runs as smoothly as possible, a role which sees her undertake internal reviews
and audits to ensure that procedures and processes are followed to a ‘T’.
Janet | Sponsorship Liaison Officer
Our Sponsorship Liaison Support lead, Janet ensures that our partnerships, donations

Kay Wilkinson | Finance Manager
A qualified accountant & Member of Chartered Institute of Chartered
Accountants, Kay leads the Finance team and ensures all statutory and
regulatory accounting requirements are met and complied with, she prepares
the Organisations budgets and forecasts and manages the investments.
Bonnie | Business Analyst
A complete whizz with numbers and facts, Bonnie is our Business Analyst and she
interrogates our internal data, produces comprehensive reports and trends, and solves
problems to identify how we do things at Paycare, and how we can do them even better.
George | Business Retentions Coordinator
George is our Business Retentions Coordinator and his duties are wide and varied. Dealing
first-hand with queries from policyholders and corporate groups and ensuring that our
customers have a good experience whilst with us. George also handles many areas of our internal
reporting including the creation of hugely valuable retention reports to monitor our successes.

Anne, Danielle, Alison and Cheryl help to keep our
policyholders’ information up-to-date, making any
changes to policies as requested, and ensuring help is
provided where needed, our Policy Admin team provides
everything our policyholders need whilst with Paycare.
Kali, Eileen, Julie and Jas are our lovely customer
service team,the first point of contact at Paycare.
On-hand ready to answer any queries or questions you
may have, or promptly direct you to the right person
and department should you need additional support.
Denise, Blahar, Ben and Heather make up our claims
team. Working hard to process all claims we receive
here at Paycare to ensure that our policyholders
get their money back for everyday health costs.

Karen and Ana, our finance team work closely with all
departments to ensure our customers are supported with
all of their financial transactions. They prepare monthly
accounts for management whilst ensuring everyday
banking requirements are in-check and reconciled.
Emily and Nicola are both Corporate Account Managers at Paycare
and look after all of our corporate accounts to ensure that our
policyholders get the most from their employer-paid and
employee-paid policies, including the ways in which they can incentivise
and reward staff to ensure happy and productive teams.

How can monthly payments
be made for the plan?
Whichever way suits you, either through
Direct Debit or BACS.
Does the EAP service include face
to face counselling?
If the EAP telephone counsellor decides that face to
face sessions are required Paycare will pay for up to a
maximum of 6 consecutive sessions.
What admin is involved?
Very little. On a voluntary scheme there will be a
small amount of admin required to process the payroll
deduct.
On a company paid scheme, you will just need to
update us whenever you have leavers or new joiners
to the scheme.
Are there any costs involved in an
employee paid scheme?
No – not directly. However, as payments are taken
by payroll deduct there will be a requirement for your
payroll team to administer.
How simple is the policy to
introduce?
Very simple, your dedicated Corporate Account
Manager is on hand to help you communicate the
plan with your management team and directly to your
employees.

Who do my employees contact
with questions about their plan?
Your employees don’t need to hassle you with any
questions – they can simply ring our Customer Services
number and speak to a member of our dedicated
customer support team.
What are the tax implications for
employees should employers fund
the scheme?
The Paycare plan is classed as a benefit in kind,
therefore will appear on a P11D in line with standard
taxation.
Why should I choose Paycare?
Paycare is a not for profit business, and we have been
established for over 140 years. We aim to pay claims
within 48 hours, and successfully achieved this with
87% of claims paid in this time during 2015.
We always look for a reason to pay a claim, and in
2015 we paid 97% of claims received.
80% of premiums are paid back to policyholders.
Our customer satisfaction score is 99.96% for 2015.
Average length of time that corporate policy holders
stay with us is 12 years, and individual policyholders
is 22 years.

Can any employee join?
There is no age limit for the plan, and it is available to
all UK residents.
What support do I have from you
as an employer?
You will be given the support of a dedicated account
manager, an annual claims review, marketing support,
health and well being days and anything else you can
think of that will help within your organisation.
Do I have to pay for additional
services like EAP and GP 24/7?
No. The EAP and GP 24/7 services are included in the
cost of the plan, and cover unlimited telephone support
as well as up to 6 face to face counselling services.
QUESTIONS RELEVANT TO YOUR EMPLOYEES
Are we tied into a contract?
No – all that we ask is that a 3 month notice period
is given when cancelling the policy ensuring that the
policy holders are treated fairly.
How do employees make a claim?
It is really quick and simple to claim – either via our
online claiming platform or by post.
Employees simply need to pay for treatment with their
usual practitioner and send a valid claim form along
with their receipt to us to receive their money back,
usually within 48 hours.
How long do employees have to
claim their benefits?
Your benefit year runs 12 months from the initial start
date and you have 13 weeks to submit your claim from
the date you paid for your treatment, or from the date
you were admitted to hospital.
Are children covered on the plan?
Yes, any dependents under the age of 18 and living at
the same address are covered on the plan. The annual
limit for each of the benefits is then shared between
the policy holder and their dependant(s).
When will my employees be able
to claim?
Additions from the date of joining. 4Work from the date
of joining with the exception of new child payment &
pre existing conditions.
Does the plan limit where my
employees can go for treatment?
No – they can continue to visit their usual practitioner.
All that we ask is that the practitioner is covered by
the standard industry regulations – a list of these
accreditations can be found on our website.
Can my employees cover their
family too?
Yes. There are two choices; Either, Partners are
covered and paid for by the company. Or, Employees
can choose to add partners or close family members
to the plan at a cost to them. This payment is taken via
Payroll Deduct.

And, we do this by dedicating ourselves to protecting individuals, their loved ones, and their businesses against everyday routine healthcare costs, as well as ensuring that they’re properly safeguarded against the unexpected costs of injury, accident, or illness. Founded in 1874 by the foremen of some of Wolverhampton’s largest factories, in a bid to protect their employees from crippling medical bills, Paycare has since grown to become one of the most respected health cover providers in the UK. And, it isn’t just our much valued policyholders who benefit from our unrivalled commitment and dedication. As a not-for-profit organisation, we have been reinvesting funds back into the community for over a century and a half and are proud to have helped literally thousands of medical and healthcare- related causes continue to carry out their fantastic work. This tradition of supporting those in need lives on today, and to date we have donated over two million pounds to charities and initiatives across the country. And, every other penny is donated to charitable causes UK-wide, offering vital support to those who need it most.. We’re proud to have donated more than £2million to charity to date and, thanks to our valued policyholders, we’re determined to continue to make a real difference.

These charities, not-for-profits and organisations not only share many of our core values, but they are also dedicated to bringing very tangible benefits to our community. Just some of our ongoing support includes sponsorship of the Community Trust Accessible Lounge at Wolverhampton Wanderers FC, sponsorship of the Faculty of Engineering & Biosciences Award at Wolverhampton University, Founding Sponsors of The Way - Youth Zone, and a variety of sports teams and clubs, including Wednesfield Ladies FC, the LGBT Black Country Fusion Football Club in conjunction with Football vs. Homophobia, and the fantastic Penn Cricket Club.   • 8. www.paycare.org8 Kevin Rogers ACMA CGMA | Chief Executive A qualified accountant and Member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, Kevin joined Paycare as Operations Director in 2009 following a successful career at Tarmac in Wolverhampton, as well as holding senior finance positions across the manufacturing sector, and he was appointed Chief Executive of Paycare in 2013. Kevin is a lifelong Wolves fan. Anthony Burns | Head of Sales and Marketing A true ‘people person’, Anthony leads, inspires and motivates the sales and marketing departments to ensure that they not only achieve Paycare’s commercial aims, but that the organisation is promoted to the right people, in the right way, and always congruent with its values. Saranjit Nagra | Compliance Manager Saranjit keeps the wheels turning at Paycare and ensures that the compliance side of the business runs as smoothly as possible, a role which sees her undertake internal reviews and audits to ensure that procedures and processes are followed to a ‘T’. Janet | Sponsorship Liaison Officer Our Sponsorship Liaison Support lead, Janet ensures that our partnerships, donations and sponsorships provide the best opportunities for the various charities, initiatives and projects that we support. From Wednesfield Ladies FC and Bilston FC, through to Libra Lee netball club, Staffordshire Wolves cricket club, and Black Country Fusion, the first LGBT inclusive football team in the West Midlands to play mainstream Sunday league. Clare Jarvis | Operations Manager Clare manages the claims, customer service, and policy admin teams at Paycare, to ensure that people are at the heart of everything we do. Kay Wilkinson | Finance Manager A qualified accountant & Member of Chartered Institute of Chartered Accountants, Kay leads the Finance team and ensures all statutory and regulatory accounting requirements are met and complied with, she prepares the Organisations budgets and forecasts and manages the investments. Bonnie | Business Analyst A complete whizz with numbers and facts, Bonnie is our Business Analyst and she interrogates our internal data, produces comprehensive reports and trends, and solves problems to identify how we do things at Paycare, and how we can do them even better. George | Business Retentions Coordinator George is our Business Retentions Coordinator and his duties are wide and varied. Dealing first-hand with queries from policyholders and corporate groups and ensuring that our customers have a good experience whilst with us. George also handles many areas of our internal reporting including the creation of hugely valuable retention reports to monitor our successes.
  • 9. www.paycare.org 9 Anne, Danielle, Alison and Cheryl help to keep our policyholders’ information up-to-date, making any changes to policies as requested, and ensuring help is provided where needed, our Policy Admin team provides everything our policyholders need whilst with Paycare. Kali, Eileen, Julie and Jas are our lovely customer service team,the first point of contact at Paycare. On-hand ready to answer any queries or questions you may have, or promptly direct you to the right person and department should you need additional support. Denise, Blahar, Ben and Heather make up our claims team. Working hard to process all claims we receive here at Paycare to ensure that our policyholders get their money back for everyday health costs. In fact, 87% of claims are processed within 48 hours thanks to them and the finance team! Karen and Ana, our finance team work closely with all departments to ensure our customers are supported with all of their financial transactions. They prepare monthly accounts for management whilst ensuring everyday banking requirements are in-check and reconciled. Emily and Nicola are both Corporate Account Managers at Paycare and look after all of our corporate accounts to ensure that our policyholders get the most from their employer-paid and employee-paid policies, including the ways in which they can incentivise and reward staff to ensure happy and productive teams. Lauren, working with Nicola and Emily as Business Development Coordinator, Lauren helps us achieve the department’s and Paycare’s short, mid and long-term objectives and is always a fountain of ideas.

  • 20. www.paycare.org20 How can monthly payments be made for the plan? Whichever way suits you, either through Direct Debit or BACS. Does the EAP service include face to face counselling? If the EAP telephone counsellor decides that face to face sessions are required Paycare will pay for up to a maximum of 6 consecutive sessions. What admin is involved? Very little. On a voluntary scheme there will be a small amount of admin required to process the payroll deduct. On a company paid scheme, you will just need to update us whenever you have leavers or new joiners to the scheme. Are there any costs involved in an employee paid scheme? No – not directly. However, as payments are taken by payroll deduct there will be a requirement for your payroll team to administer. How simple is the policy to introduce? Very simple, your dedicated Corporate Account Manager is on hand to help you communicate the plan with your management team and directly to your employees. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS QUESTIONS RELEVANT TO YOUR BUSINESS Who do my employees contact with questions about their plan? Your employees don’t need to hassle you with any questions – they can simply ring our Customer Services number and speak to a member of our dedicated customer support team. What are the tax implications for employees should employers fund the scheme? The Paycare plan is classed as a benefit in kind, therefore will appear on a P11D in line with standard taxation. Why should I choose Paycare? Paycare is a not for profit business, and we have been established for over 140 years. We aim to pay claims within 48 hours, and successfully achieved this with 87% of claims paid in this time during 2015. We always look for a reason to pay a claim, and in 2015 we paid 97% of claims received. 80% of premiums are paid back to policyholders. Our customer satisfaction score is 99.96% for 2015. Average length of time that corporate policy holders stay with us is 12 years, and individual policyholders is 22 years.
  • 21. www.paycare.org 21 Can any employee join? There is no age limit for the plan, and it is available to all UK residents. What support do I have from you as an employer? You will be given the support of a dedicated account manager, an annual claims review, marketing support, health and well being days and anything else you can think of that will help within your organisation. Do I have to pay for additional services like EAP and GP 24/7? No. The EAP and GP 24/7 services are included in the cost of the plan, and cover unlimited telephone support as well as up to 6 face to face counselling services. QUESTIONS RELEVANT TO YOUR EMPLOYEES Are we tied into a contract? No – all that we ask is that a 3 month notice period is given when cancelling the policy ensuring that the policy holders are treated fairly. How do employees make a claim? It is really quick and simple to claim – either via our online claiming platform or by post. Employees simply need to pay for treatment with their usual practitioner and send a valid claim form along with their receipt to us to receive their money back, usually within 48 hours. How long do employees have to claim their benefits? Your benefit year runs 12 months from the initial start date and you have 13 weeks to submit your claim from the date you paid for your treatment, or from the date you were admitted to hospital. Are children covered on the plan? Yes, any dependents under the age of 18 and living at the same address are covered on the plan. The annual limit for each of the benefits is then shared between the policy holder and their dependant(s). When will my employees be able to claim? Additions from the date of joining. 4Work from the date of joining with the exception of new child payment & pre existing conditions. Does the plan limit where my employees can go for treatment? No – they can continue to visit their usual practitioner. All that we ask is that the practitioner is covered by the standard industry regulations – a list of these accreditations can be found on our website. Can my employees cover their family too? Yes. There are two choices; Either, Partners are covered and paid for by the company. Or, Employees can choose to add partners or close family members to the plan at a cost to them. This payment is taken via Payroll Deduct.
