5. Cote d’Ivoire’s Problem
The problem with Cote d’Ivoire is
that they are not trading enough
natural resources. The people
aren’t trading more than half of
their natural resources. In Cote
d’Ivoire they are more than 18
natural resources and in Cote
d’Ivoire they are only trading 5 of
the 18 natural resources. Some
natural resources that Cote
d’Ivoire is trading are, cocoa,
bananas, coffee, and rubber. Their
GNI is $1730 per year, so there is a
good amount of money for
potential countries that want to
trade with Cote d’Ivoire.
6. Solutions to the Problem
I have come up with a couple solutions to the problem in
Cote d’Ivoire. One of the solutions, is to get the countries
around Cote d’Ivoire to trade more natural resources with
Cote d’Ivoire. Like Cote d’Ivoire could trade diamonds with
Liberia. Or Cote d’Ivoire could trade nickel with Mali. Trading
with more natural resources will make the GNI go up and so
will the trade products. Another solutions I have made up, is
a negotiation with another country that is not in my region.
The last solution I came up with is, the people in Cote
d’Ivoire who trade natural resources could not just trade in
their city, they could trade all over Cote d’Ivoire. If Cote
d’Ivoire can’t trade more natural resources by itself, then just
as back-up, I created a negotiation with The Republic of
Congo.
7. Negotiations
I have made a negotiation with The Republic of
Congo. I have offered to give them 5 doctors,
in return The Republic of Congo would trade
with Cote d’Ivoire. The Republic of Congo’s
problem is that they don’t have enough
doctors. So I offered to give 5 doctors to The
Republic of Congo. My problem is trading more
natural resources, since I am trying to help The
Republic of Congo, they can help my country
by trading with them!
8. Final Solution
My final solution is for Cote d’Ivoire is to
trade more natural resources, without any
other country help. The people in Cote
d’Ivoire who trade natural resources could
stop just trading in their city, but they
could trade all over Cote d’Ivoire. Cote
d’Ivoire is a somewhat big country, there is
plenty of area to trade to other cities. To
help my solution I am willing to say that I
might need International aid. I would
probably turn to Asia for help, Asia has
helped out Cote d’Ivoire many times
before. I would ask Asia to help out with
trading natural resources. Cote d’Ivoire
could trade with Asia, because Asia is
pretty popular when it comes to trading.
