  5. 5. Matthew 7 <br />24–25 “These words I speak to you are notincidental additions to your life, homeowner improvements to your standard of living. They are foundationalwords, words to build a life on. If you work these words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who built his house on solid rock. Rain poured down, the river flooded, a tornado hit—but nothing moved that house. It was fixed to the rock.<br />26–27 “But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don’t work them into your life, you are like a stupid carpenter who built his house on the sandy beach. When a storm rolled in and the waves came up, it collapsedlike a house of cards.”<br />28–29 When Jesus concluded his address, the crowd burst into applause. They had never heard teaching like this. It was apparent that he was living everything he was saying—quite a contrast to their religion teachers! This was the best teaching they had ever heard.<br />

They took her clothes, beat her up, and went off leaving her half-dead. <br />Luckily, her Pastor was on her way down the same road, but when she saw her she angled across to the other side. <br />Then herSunday School Teacher showed up; she also avoided the injured camper.<br />
  15. 15. A Samaritan campertraveling the road came upon her. When she saw the camper’s condition, her heart went out to her. <br />She gave her first aid, disinfecting and bandaging her wounds. Then she lifted her onto her scooter, and walked besideher to thenurse’s quarters, and made her comfortable. <br />In the morning she took out two one hundred dollar bills and gave them to the camp nurse, saying, ‘Take good care of her. If it costs any more, put it on my canteen card, I’ll pay you on my way back.’<br />
