2. We had to be birds for the day
and we were in groups of three. I
was with Ellie and Emma. We got
an egg between us. Ellie was the
mum and we were the children.
We made a huge nest that we
could all fit in and a small one for
the egg. We called our egg
‘Eggy’. We all took turns of
looking after ‘Eggy.
Ellie
3. We had a scavenger hunt and we
had to find an open pine cone.
Cameron
4. We took care of our
egg. We called it
Jimmy. We had a
challenge to build a
nest and we used
dried pine needles and
sticks and some soft
stuff. When we were
walking up the hill,
Nico fell on me and I
thought Jimmy got
squashed but there
wasn’t a scratch!
Nathan
5. We had to look after the egg. I
was the mummy, Benjamin was the
daddy and Michael was the brother.
We made a big nest that we could
all fit in. We had a little egg nest
inside the big nest and it had a
little pillow and cover of moss.

bird watching. Mrs

after the eggs.

egg. It cracked in
pieces.

8. We got to make nests.
Thomas, Sean, Kai and me
were putting logs around
our nest. We were building
nests because we were
looking after eggs and
pretending they were
babies.
Brody
My group buried two eggs
in all the leaves, pine
needles and moss. Thomas
called our egg Bob.
Richard came and he is a
Ranger and he said it was
the funniest nest he had
ever seen.
Brody
9. We had to keep the egg until
the end of the afternoon without
bursting it. The nest had to be
really big so we could fit in it.
We used lots of green plants so
that the egg would be nice and
cosy. Sometimes I wished I
could be that egg because it
looked really cosy!
Demi
10. Richard the Ranger helped us
to cut branches for our nest.
We built the nest with sticks,
leaves, twigs and acorns.
Kay
12. We were pretending to be
wobbly trees and when we
were doing that we were
singing a song and I had so
much fun. We went on a
scavenger hunt and we also
went looking for birds but
the best thing I enjoyed
was making the nest.
Connie K
13. We did a forest game and we
had to find stuff like moss on a
twig. Sean and I were partners
and we found this half eaten
pine cone. Mrs Misselbrook said
if we opened it up there is a nut
inside but it was so hard that I
gave up. Kai
14. I found a big
log that was
broken and you
could see the
inside of it.
It had some
green stuff
growing on it.
Daniel
15. The bird watching was great fun.
Letitia
We sat on this hill and looked at
birds to see what they were
doing.
Today was better than last week
because we had more challenges
to do.
Ellie.
We had to spy on birds
and we saw a bird’s nest.
Sean
My group went to see
birds and Thomas and I
saw six. Brody
16. We did bird watching and I
saw birds gliding, swooping and
perching but I didn’t see them
swimming.
Nathan
We sat on the moss and look for
birds. We tried to find all the
birds moving.

17. When we had free time, Thomas
and Emma made an egg creche to
keep our eggs safe while we were
all running around the forest.
Danielle
18. When it was free time Emma and
I looked after everybody’s eggs.
