JSPS KAKENHI Grant Number 24520675, Activation of
Beginners-level Foreign Language Classroom and

④ Sentence Transformation Presenter
⑤ Phrase Reading Worksheet Generator
⑥ Flashcard App for iOS Device
(depending on how to count 16 tools altogether! Also I’ve developed 8 more software!)

They are developed using database
software.
Why not PowerPoint?
Must prepare all the slide pages to use beforehand
Not easy to choose slide pages to use (→ preparing is a hard work)
Not easy to change an order of sequence (→ not flexible)
Why database software?
Don’t have to prepare all the slide pages to use beforehand
Easy to manage data and layout separately (→ multi-purpose use)
Easy to control what we want to show (→ flexible use)

OK, then, what can we teachers do for
our students?
This software aims at ways, which are never able to
accomplish with chalk and blackboard, ordinary tools
for teaching.
Reading sentence aloud together is one of the basic
method to learn a foreign language. But a “Repeat
after me” method does not always work in your
classroom.
It depends on your idea! Let’s see DEMO.

• Negative Comments *translation by the author
• Too many sentences!
• Takes too much time!
• Positive Comments (some of them – better ones
come first :)
• I think it’s a good practice, because when
writing I can do much better, but I can’t do
it enough when speaking. Without speaking,
I don’t feel I can understand English. This
tool shows where I need to practice shifting
from Japanese to English.
• I need to think all the time which word
comes next.

• Positive Comments (continued)
• It’s very effective in reconfirming grammar
when we have done preparation.
• It‘s very difficult to compile English words and
phrases into sentences in a flash. I think this
tool is very effective on practicing this.
• It’s also effective for checking pronunciation.
• I believe reading aloud is effective practice.
• I enjoy this practice.
• I need this practice for my future.
• I feel this practice is a kind of warm up for
English classes.
• It’s effective because it stimulates my brain.
• This software gives me instantaneous force.
