Karen thought to herself, ‘I hope I grow up to be just like her.”  You would record, “ Her mom moved gracefully across the room like a confident cat ”  and identify the example as  SIMILE. Identify   what type of figurative language each example shows. Record   the key words or phrase from each example that determined the category in which you placed it.
