1. GENERAL RULES If changes are done through the menus, whenexiting, a dialog box will be shown for you to choosewhether or not you want to save the new parameters. The main default password of the receiver is “1234”Zapping To view informationabout the runningprogram press once on“INFO” if you presstwice a window will bedisplayed with otherinformation about theselected channel. Press the “BLUE” button to change thechannel’s audio track if available. Press the “GREEN” button to change to theprevious selected channel. Press the “<” or “>” or “MUTE” button to controlthe volume. Press “PAUSE” button to freeze the image. Press the “TV/R” button to switch between TVlist and Radio list. Press the “EPG” button to access detailedinformation of the running program. If the channeloffers information for the following days you canaccess it by pressing the “EPG” once again. 2. Press the “OK” button to display the list of activechannels where the sorting and satellite selection willbe available. To move through the list use the buttons “UP”and “DOWN” to move one element at a time. Press on “LEFT” or “RIGHT” to move a page. Press “<<” or “>>” to move through the favouritelists.MAIN MENU The menu is the starting point of all possiblesettings and definitions of the receiver, it is divided insome submenus that give access to the receiversfunctionalities.- SYSTEM SETTINGS This section allowsyou to define yourpreferences, your regionand the equipment, viewinformation concerningthe receiver and torestore default settings. - Regional Settings This menu allows you to define your languageand regional preferences. 3. - OSD Language This parameter allows you to choose thelanguage for the menus that suits you best. - 1st and 2nd Audio Language Both of theseparameters allows you tochoosethe audio language thatyou prefer, if available onTV or Radio channels. - Time Zone This parameter allows you to choose the timezone of the region or country you live. This will set -the receiver’s clock and also the program’sinformation. - Country and City Selection Both these parameters will allow you to set thecountry and city where you live. This will also set thelongitude and latitude parameters for those who willuse the Goto X function. (View chapter referring thechannel scanning). But the list isn’t extensive,therefore if needed, you can set the longitude andlatitude manually in the Goto X settings. - Parental Lock This menu allows you to set the different typesof locking that you can apply on the receiver. 4. parameters and options is done through the “LEFT”and “RIGHT” buttons. - Main Password As mentioned above, the main password of thereceiver is “1234”. Thus even by defining anotherpersonal password the main password will alwaysremain active, and can be used instead of thepersonal password, this is very important in case thepersonal password is forgotten. - Channel Lock By activating thisoption, the user can lockchannel and renderthem inaccessibleunless the user knowsthe password. Thesechannels can be lockedin the channel editor(View chapter referringto the Channel editor). - Menu Lock By activating this option, menus will beinaccessible unless the right password is entered. - Receiver Lock By activating this option, the receiver will notfunction unless the right password is entered. - Change Password To change thepassword, just enter thenew password andconfirm entering thepassword once more.The password is done http://krimo666.mylivepage.com/

The password willonly be changed if both the password and theconfirmation are the same. - Audio/Video Settings This section allows you to define settingsregarding system and screen settings. Note that all changes are applied in real-time,and the settings will be immediately applied afterconfirming with the “OK” button. - TV Mode This parameterallows you to choose 3colour systems, PAL,NTSC, and MULTI formulti-systems. Choosethe one mostappropriate for your TV. - Video Output This parameter allows you to choose betweenRGB or CVBS, only your SCART socket supportsRGB. - Aspect Ratio This parameter allows you to choose between 2aspect ratios which are 4:3 and 16:9 choose themost appropriate for your TV. - Transparency Activate this function if you want the OSD to betransparent, or deactivate if you don’t wanttransparency. http://krimo666.mylivepage.com/
6. - Banner Timeout This parameter allows you to define how long ittakes for the info bar to disappear from the screen.The duration is between 2 to 9 seconds. - Modulator System For those who use the RF output to connect thereceiver to the TV, this parameter allows you tochoose between 3 systems, PAL B/G, PAL I, andPAL D/K. Don’t forget to choose the same system asyour TV. - Modulator Channel For those who use the RF output, this parameterallows you to choose the modulator’s channel. Incase of conflict with existing equipment, you canalways choose to change the channel betweenchannel 21 and 69 by using the “UP” and “DOWN”button. Notice that when connecting by means of RF,when there is a modulator channel change, you willlose the image on your screen, therefore you shoulddo another channel scan to recover the picture. - System Information Through this menu, you can access all theinformation about the receiver. It displays technicalinformation like the software, hardware and bootversion. This information is important to identify theversion of your receiver in case of an update. 7. - Reset This menu is veryimportant if in need toreset to the initialsettings. It is onlyaccessible by enteringthe password. (View thesection referring toParental Lock). This menu allowsyou to reset one or many parameters of the receiver.So we advise you to use this menu carefully. Tomake a reset, choose the desired option and press“OK”, a dialog box will show to confirm the action. - Reset User Settings This option allows you to reset the User Settingsonly, this includes, Regional Settings, Audio/VideoSettings and Parental Lock. - Reset Channel Lists This option allows you to erase all the channelsavailable the receiver. - Reset Transponder Lists Because the receiver gives you the possibility ofdoing a blind scan (View chapter referring to BlindScan), its effect alters the transponders’ database. This option allows you to erase all the channelsin the receiver and restore the initial transponder list. - Reset Satellite Settings This option allows you to restore the initialconfiguration of all satellites, in particular,adjustments of satellites done in the scanning ofchannels. http://krimo666.mylivepage.com/
8. - Reset All This option will allow you to reset all adjustmentsand all parameters as well as erasing all scannedchannels.- CHANNEL SEARCH This menu is with no doubt the most important ofall, it’s where the user can adjust the antennas, andwhere the satellites can be scanned. To adjust theantenna installation, it is necessary that the satellitelist is active and also the adjustments will be appliedto the highlighted satellite. To start a scan, it isnecessary to know previously that to confirm thechanges you must accept to save on the dialog boxthe will be shown. With out doing so, no change willdone. To access the antenna adjustments, makesure the satellite list is active, then press “LEFT” or“RIGHT” to switch between the list and theadjustment options. The receiver can manage up to 8 parabolicantennas simultaneously when using 2 DiSEqCswitches or 2 motorized setups, giving total flexibilityto the users. Add to that, through the Goto Xfunction, installing a motor for novice users will bechild’s play. 9. - Satellite List This list contains 64initial satellites, with thepossibility of adding ordeleting one or moresatellites. The satellitesare sorted by theirorbital positions, from70º East o 70º West. The strength andquality shown are correspondent to the highlightedsatellite and referent to the first transponder on thelist. If you wish to change the reference transponderjust choose another in the list of the transponders ofthe satellite. - Browsing Through the List To move through the list use buttons “UP” and“DOWN”. To move through a page (10 satellites at atime) use buttons “<<” and “>>”. - Adding a Satellite To ass a newsatellite, make sureyou’re on the satellitelist, the press “GREEN”button. 10. - Erasing a Satellite To erase a satellitefrom the list, make sureyou’re on the satellitelist, select the satellitethen press the “BLUE”button, a dialog box willshow to confirm. - Browse the Transponder List To access the transponder of a satellite pressthe “RED” button, then, the transponder list of theselected satellite will be accessible for other possibleprocedures. - Selection of Satellites to Scan To select one or more to scan press the “OK”button over the satellite name and you will see anicon that indicates your selection. The strength and quality shown arecorrespondent to the highlighted satellite to areference transponder that is the first in list. 11. - Transponder List This list containsthe transponders of theactual satellite with thepossibility to add ordelete one or manytransponders. Onesatellite can contain upto 200 transponderstotal. - Moving Though the List To move through the list use buttons “UP” and“DOWN” to move one transponder at a time andbuttons “<<” and “>>” to move 10 transponders at atime. Note that when changing transponders thestrength and quality bars updates to thecorresponding transponder. - Adding a Transponder To add a newtransponder, press the“GREEN” button. Then adialog box will bedisplayed to enter thefrequency, the symbolrate and the FEC. Note that the list oftransponders is limitedto 200 transponders. - Erasing a Transponder To erase a transponder from the list, make sureyou’re in the transponder list then press the “BLUE” http://krimo666.mylivepage.com/
12. button on the highlighted transponder and confirm onthe dialog box that will show up. - Browsing Through the Satellite List To access the satellite list, press the “RED”button, the satellite list will be accessible for otherpossible adjustments. - Selecting One Or More Transponders To select one or more transponders to scan,press the “OK” button over the transponder and youwill see an icon indicating your selection. - Starting a Scan After making your selection, you can start a scanby pressing the “YELLOW” button on the remote.After that another menu of the scan will appear. 13. - LNB Type This option willallow you to choosebetween 3 types of LNB,Universal Ku, Normal Cor User where you canspecify the high and lowbands. - DiSEqC This optionindicates the type of control switches in yourinstallation. Select None in case you don’t have anyDiSEqC controls and validate with “OK”. - DiSEqC Switch Choose this optionif you will use a DiSEqCswitch and press “OK”.The option DiSEqCPORT will appear.Choose input A, B, C orD and press “OK”. - Motor Choose this optionif you have a motorizedinstallation and press“OK”. Goto 0: The “BLUE” button will make the motorgo to the 0º position. - Normal Movement Highlight Normal Movement and you will movethe motor East or West by pressing buttons “<<” and“>>”. - Fine Movement Highlight Fine Movement to move the motormore precisely East or West by pressing buttons “<<”and “>>” - Setting the Limits After Normal or Fine Movement of the motor areHighlighted you can set the limits by pressing buttons“YELLOW” and “GREEN”. Note that this setting is not obligatory. - Validate Position After satisfied by the obtained signal, you mustvalidate the position by highlighting and confirmingwith the “OK” button, or else all changes will beignored. - Goto This option with the option Goto City combinedmakes a very powerful and simple option to controlautomatically your motor. - All Satellites Goto X This option, that can be activated by pressingthe “GREEN” button allows you to put all thesatellites in Goto X mode. If your city isn’t mentioned on the list and youwish to use the Goto X function, you must enter yourlongitude and latitude of your city manually. - Scanning After setting your antenna and selecting thesatellites or transponders, this menu allows you tomake your choices of scanning and starting it. - Channel Type By pressing the “RIGHT” and “LEFT” buttons,you scan choose from 3 options: - Scan TV Channels only - Scan Radio Channels only - Scan TV and Radio channels - C.A. Type Three choices are available for ConditionalAccess - Scan FTA (Free-To-Air) Channels Only - Scan CA (Encrypted) Channels Only - Scan CA and FTA - Scan ModeThree Scan modes are possible: - NEW: This scan erases all the channels of the selected satellites or transponders then scans the channels. - UPDATE: This scan doesn’t affect the present channels (doesn’t erase), only in case of a PID change. Those channels will be updated, new channels will also be added. - BLIND: This scan isn’t accessible in the case of scanning satellites and not transponders. 16. make a global scan to all the frequencies and symbol rates of the satellites. The intervals are between 3000 kb/s and 40000 kb/s for the symbol rate and 10700MHz and 12750MHz for the frequencies. - Starting a Scan After making allyour choices press “OK”to start the scan. - End of Scan After finishing ascan you will beprompted with a dialogbox to save or not thechanges to thedatabase.- CHANNEL EDITOR This menu the main utility, in this menu the usercan manage, erase, sort, move and lock channels,and also create and manage 10 favourite lists. - Moving Through the ListTo move through the list use button “UP” and“DOWN” and to move a page (10 channels at a time)use buttons “<<” and “>>”. - Channel List The channels aredisplayed as theselected sort chosen. 17. “LOCK” are locked channels. - Channel Sort This option allows you to display the channelswith a sorting of your choice to speed up theiraccess. By pressing the “GREEN” button the followingchoices are available: - Sort 1-2-3 Sort the channels by order of their additions in the database. - Sort A-Z Sort the channels alphabetically increasingly. - Sort Z-A Sort the channels alphabetically decreasingly. - Sort FTA only Sort the FTA channels only - Sort Encrypted only Sort the CA channels only. - Sort by CA Sort channels by their encryption type chosen by the user. - Sort by Provider Sort channels by their provider by the user. - Sort by Language Sort channels by their language chosen by the user. - Satellite Selection This option also considered as a sort where theuser can see only one satellite at a time, it can beactivated by pressing the “C” button where you canchoose one or all satellites. - Switch Between TV and Radio Channels Press the “TV/R” to switch between TV andRadio channels. http://krimo666.mylivepage.com/
18. - Information and Visualization of a Channel To display the information regarding a channel,highlight the channel to view, then press the “INFO”button. - Renaming Channels To rename achannel press the “B”button and a windowwith a keyboard willappear to enter the newname for the channel. - Moving Channels To move one ormore channels press the“BLUE” button that will activate Move Mode, thenpress the “OK” button over the channels you wish tomove then go to the desired position and confirm theaction by pressing “BLUE” button. - Locking Channels To lock one or morechannels, press the“YELLOW” button thatwill activate Lock Mode,then press the “OK”button over the channelyou wish to lock orunlock. 19. - Erasing Channels To erase one or more channels, press the “RED”button. That will activate Erase >Mode. The optionsof erasing will be available: - Erasing by Channel: This option erases one channel at a time. Select the channels you wish to erase by pressing “OK”. - Erase by Transponder: While using this option, when you select a channel, all the channels of that transponder will be selected. - Erase by Satellite: While using this option, when you select a channel, all the channels of the that satellite will be selected. After making your selections, the channels to erase are shown by an “X”, to confirm the erasure press the “RED” button. - Editing Favourite Lists To edit favourite channels, press button “A”, theFavourites Editor will be displayed, it is composed bytwo lists: one corresponds to the main list, the othercorresponds to the favourite channels list of aparticular group. 20. - Choosing Favourite Lists Press buttons “<<” and “>>” to change the activefavourite list. All the adjustments will be applied tothe actual list. - Renaming a Favourite List To change the name of a favourite list press“INFO” that by effect will display a keyboard whereyou can enter the name of the favourite list. - Changing Between the Lists To change between the main list and thefavourite lists, press button “A” to ease the addingand erasure of favourite channels. - Adding/Erasing a Favourite Channel Press “OK” to addor erase a channel tothe active favourite list,that is valid on both lists,note that a favouritechannel is marked by aheart shaped icon. - Exiting All the done actionson the channel editor are taken effect immediately,but will only be saved if confirmed on the dialog boxthat will be displayed, or else all actions will beignored if not done so. - Smartcard This menu, only available on receivers withsmartcard readers, will allow you to view informationand change parameters of the inserted card. http://krimo666.mylivepage.com/
