2. China
In the two pictures above, there are 2 long boats (one
model and one drawing) that Zheng He might have used in
the past. This relates to what we have studied this year
because we learned about Zheng He and China in the
second trimester.
3. China
Pictured above there is an image of The Great Wall of
China, which we have not studied this year but interests me
greatly. I would like to see The Great Wall of China in
person because of its massive size, and also because it is
one of the 7 wonders of the world.
4. France
Pictured here, are wax figures
of Marie Antoinette and her
family. This site is historically
significant because we learned
about Marie Antoinette this
year, and this is an interesting
thing to see such detailed
figures of people who lived so
long ago.
5. France
Pictured above is The Eiffel Tower in Paris, France. We did
not learn about this structure this year but it interests me
because it is beautiful and because of its intricate design.
6. Italy
Pictured here are several
men with a pile of dead rats
that had been infected and
spreading the horrible
Bubonic Plague around Italy.
We learned about this
subject this year in history
and learned how it was a
deadly disease that spread
all around Europe and killed
millions.
7. Italy
Above is a picture of St. Peter’s Square in Italy in 1909.
We did not learn about St. Peter’s Square in class but it is a
place that I would want to go because it is beautiful and
has intricate architectural detail.
8. India
Above is a map of The Silk Road, which ran all throughout
India and into other countries as well. We learned about
this route in class and I thought it was interesting how one
trading route could be so big and have so much to offer.
9. India
Above is a picture of the Taj Mahal in India. I would want to
visit this place because of it’s beauty, and because of its
strange design. I think it would be a very neat place to see
in person because it is one of the 7 wonders of the world.
10. England
To the right is a picture of
The Great Exhibition in the
crystal palace in London,
England. We studied this
place in class and I think that
it would be very interesting
to see it in person, although
it burned down in 1936.
11. England
Here is a picture of the Big Ben
clock tower in England. We didn’t
study this in class, but I thought it
would be a fun place to visit
because of its size and how famous
it is.
