Our country to the multicultural being, includes an enormous wealth
by the groups that conform it, the customs that characterize it, diverse
forms of life, of work, education, religion, feeding, social and political
participation, economy, heterogenous worldviews, methods and
techniques of health and medicine, familiar systems, among others.
That is the fortune of Mexico, however, when coexisting all
these cultural forms, we can see that in many
occasions, instead of being reason for national
development, there are difficulties to accept to the other and
to coexist in a same geographic space.
INDIGENOUS GROUPS
The indigenous groups are a clear example
of it, live forgotten and other so many
discriminated by which they do not belong
to these communities, although Bonfil
Batalla said to it, “deep Mexico” is the
town denied by the “imaginary Mexico”
that insists on handling itself by a project
of western civilization, whereas first, by
the mesoamericana.
As far as its legal personality, fairness in
the laws as far as the indigenous towns
does not exist, because they are not
subject of collective right but organizations
of interest, this means that according to its
forms of internal organization, the
colectivity is fundamental and while in the
law this fundamental characteristic of its
identity is not taken into account, will not
be functional.
POVERTY
Mexicans we lived in a society of extreme inequality whereas
our governing class discusses to the poverty not it
inequality, for that reason does not have east aim problem.
The State has maintained the structure of inequality by thus
being suitable to its combined interests those of the
enterprise class.
EMPLOYMENT
On the matter of the diverse forms of work in our country, we
can still speak of pre-Capitalism like the artisan
maneuvers, commerce, informal jobs, etc.. And Also eggraved
info we have ways of capitalism where it exists the
exploitation, low wages, subhiring, absence of social
security, between many things more, than although all coexist
in the country, Comprise of a cultural diversity.
MEXICAN WOMEN
We can analyze heterogenous ways of life of the Mexican
women, with particular worldviews in the rural means than
in the urbanity, different ways to live life as ruling class as a
class dominated, or perhaps within the circles of feminists
indigenous is different than in circles of zapatistas
natives, etc., this also are multiculturalism.
DIVERSITY OF PEOPLE
Mexico also has numerous minority groups, as they are the
natives, homosexuals, migrants, of certain races, religions, languages, etc., being
very little taken into account by the laws and as well, counting on little legitimacy
and respect by the majority sets.
The Mexican society as a whole, is extremely racist, clasist and discriminatory, with
little historical memory on the roots and origin of this nation, it lives copying other
people's models like the European or North American or, marking the social layers
constantly, diminishing the minority groups, being contributor witnesses and of all
these atrocious inequalities.
.
On indigenous Literature we
could write great tests, but at
the moment, I can as much
indicate that in indigenous
Literature as in the native, the
reality of these communities is
reflected, it is of great
rhetorical and poetic
value, and if we listened, by
example, a followed poem in
Nahuatl of one in English and
another one in Spanish we can
verify that the phonetics are
really wonderful also.
The political participation that we lived nowadays is very
poor, people shares a feeling generalized of distrust towards
the governing class and the State, does not exist
representativeness in them, predominates the political
clientelism, we can say that the policy in Mexico does not
include identitarios elements in our society.
On the other hand, we must remember always the value of
mass media, because they are institutions of the
democracy, whenever these impose life models, the masses
they will obey and act according to those marked
standards, but as soon as they are more informative and less
extensions of the irrational neoliberalism, we will have one
more a more conscious society of its reality and better
equipped with resources whereupon to act like citizen
In conclusion, the Mexico of
today is surrounded in an
unquestionable
multiculturalism, there are
many groups involved in way
of life, interculturality implies
a respect and interaction
with this great social but it
does not exist, occurs
suddenly and per short
moments, but in the
practical life of my country
this fact is generally null.
“The world that we want is one where many worlds fit. The
homeland we build is one where all people fit.”
This was proclaimed the fourth statement of the Lacandon
Jungle of the social movement, Ejército Zapatista de
Liberación Nacional (EZLN), there will be a lot of progress to
make this society is the goal to get as much as
possible, while respecting universally recognized human
rights, ethnic relations will be better and the benefit of
societies.
