Getting to know the classroom and Ms. LeBlanc Welcome to Algebra 2 CP 1
About Ms. LeBlanc This is my second year at Triton. I graduated from the University of Tampa. Algebra 2 is my favorite subject. I enjoy reading, skiing, and traveling.
Class Expectations Everyone received a copy of the “Course Expectations/Syllabus”. Please read over this document carefully and go over it with your parents/guardians tonight. Attached to the Course Expectations/Syllabus is a sheet that must be filled out and signed by you and your parent/guardian.
Rules and Responsibilities Class Rules Be respectful and courteous to the teacher and your peers Follow directions and classroom procedures Be honest and take pride in your work Obey all School Rules Student Responsibilities Arrive on time and ready to work Ask for help when you need it Take responsibility for your education, behavior, grades, and consequences Participate in class appropriately Remain seated during instruction
Classroom Procedures and Policies Daily Procedures Arrival to class Obtain the Problem of the Day Take your assigned seat Take out the previous night’s homework to be checked off Complete the problem of the day During class Once class has begun, it is expected that you listen, take notes, participate appropriately, and remain seated during instruction. Dismissal It is expected that you remain seated and working until I dismiss
Classroom Procedures and Policies Tardiness You are expected to be in you assigned seat and ready to work when the bell rings. Students who are not in their assigned seat when the bell rings will be marked tardy.
Classroom Procedures and Policies Attendance Consistent attendance is critical to academic success and students should strive to maintain good attendance. If you are absent: It is your responsibility to obtain missed notes and assignments. Assignments will be posted on the class calendar. If you missed a test or a quiz it is your responsibility to make arrangements to make it up. You have twice the number of days to complete missed work as the number of days you are absent. When you return from an absence you are required to complete assignments that we are working on that day, this included tests and quizzes. If you were absent the day of a test review, you are still required to take the test.
Cell Phones and Other Technology Use of / visibility of electronic devices (including headphones) (beepers, cell phones (including text messaging), ipods, mp3 players, radios, CD players (all with or without headphones) and laser pens during school hours is prohibited. Failure to comply will result in the forfeiture of the device and will result in disciplinary action. Triton Regional High School will hold no responsibility or involvement should there be a theft or loss of any such device. Parents who anticipate a need for emergency communication should contact a school administrator to discuss the specific situation.
Grading Policy: Triton’s Grading Scale will be followed A+	(97 – 99) A (93 – 96) A – ( 90 – 92) B+	(87 – 89) B	(83 – 86) B – (80 – 82) C+	(77 – 79) C	(73 – 76) C – (70 – 72) D+	(67 – 69) D	(63 – 66) D – (60 – 62) F	(59 and below) Consult your student handbook for more information about the Triton Grading Policy
