o Challenges
o Best practices
• Additional resources?
• Q and A
3.
4. Getting started
• Migrated a variety of Angel classes (online and
web-enhanced)
• Used Angel Format and Common Cartridge
5. 360 View on Migration Process
• Manipulated content in Angel to determine best
options for Canvas import—clear differences!
• Easier than expected—less time!
• Confirmation on previous experiences (see:
recommendations for a good conversion)
24. Challenges
• Course announcements do not migrate.
• Saved content files from Angel may migrate
under a different name or be difficult to find in
Canvas (associated files)….PowerPoints?
• No way around test bank?
25. Best Practices
• Use backup Angel Format
• If you have to export a question bank out of ANGEL.
Make sure to either take a photo of it, or write down
keywords that can help you associate what question
belongs to what quiz.
• Remove section headings and nested material
• Move content into “weekly folders” – items under
the lessons tab will be different in Canvas
• Create one “archive” course for Canvas to house
materials rather than “fixing” each Angel class
(multiple sections, etc.)
