2. Who Am I
• My animal is a peregrine falcon. A
peregrine falcon can fly at about
60 mph at level flight but when
they dive at prey they can reach
up to 220 mph. They’re predators
are the great horned owl, golden
eagles, and other large mammals.
They are in every continent but
Antarctica. They eat other animals
by attacking them in mid flight.
They can travel up to 5,500 miles
a year.
3. The Early Years
• They stay with their
parents for about a
couple of weeks. Then
the parents get the food
for the babies and pluck
the feathers off the food
for the babies and teach
them how to fly by
making them jump out of
the nest for the food that
the parents have .
4. Habbitat sweet Habbitat
• They commonly place
nests on open ledges
,holes , or recesses of either
igneus or sedimentary
rock. Reintroduction
efforts have resulted in
them utilizing nesting
structures on tall
buildings or smoke stacks
in cities.
5. What’s on the menu
• A peregrine falcon
eats mostly birds from
songbirds up to small
geese and other small
mammals.
6. Making tracks
• The tracks look like
three sticks right next
to each other on the
top of a building
7. Simply Irresistable
• Peregrine falcons are
known for their swift
flight , have never
been very abundant
anywhere in the world
due to very specific
nest site requirements
and their positions at
the top of the food
chain.
8. Where In The World
• You can find them in
almost every
continent but
Antarctica
9. Did You Know
