Fanpage: More Features
Having a fanpage is fantastic but you want to spread the word to your friends. After your fanpage is finished.
Set up an event letting your friends know that you have launched a business fanpage. The events tab is
located underneath your profile picture.
1 Event Set-Up: Input the schedule, title of your event (i.e. Business Page Launched), location (i.e. URL), and
add the details.
2 Add a Photo: Imagines are eye catching, so find a fun photo letting your friends know you are
looking for fans. Remember friends are your personal connections and fans are business connections.
3 Select Guest to Invite: Click on all your friends names then save and close.
4 Create Event: Once the event is created it will stay on your FB fanpage until the end date you
selected. Some friends may not understand the event, so be sure to go back to it and see if they
asked any questions.

When you use Facebook as your Page, you will now have the ability to “like” other business FB fanpages.
When you like a business page you can comment to them from your FB fanpage, which helps further
exposure your company on FB. Say you sell a product to salons, you can now connect with the salon’s
FB fanpage to view their updates and postings or share useful tips with them.
1 Use Facebook as Page: Search your page as you’ve done before from the search box. Click on your page
and in the upper right hand corner click on “Use Facebook as Page Name.”
2 Suggest to Friends: Suggest your page to your friends. It will appear on facebook.com/pages if
your friends go to that website.
3 Comment to fanpage you “like”: Click on home (upper right hand corner) to view the status updates
from fanpages that your business FB fanpage is connected to. If you find a message you’d like to write
to - go for it!
