2. First screen shot – zoom out
Zoom outs is a form of editing that starts with a wide shot of the
drummer of the band the zooms out to the whole of the band this
zoom out identify that the drums are the part of the whole music
video and has a major part in how the song sounds.
3. Second screen shot – long
shot
This long shot show of the band “You me at six”. It is also showing of
the setting where the band are filming there music video, the setting
of the stage isn’t very cluttered its nice and calm with signifies that the
song is going to be calm and chilled out with links to the genre of the
music.
4. Third screen shot – deep
focus
The deep focus is a form off camerawork it focuses on something in
the background of the video for this instance it’s the actor kissing
another actor with interacts with the song as it says “look what you
have done” and in the foreground a girl is crying. This has a effect on
the audience as they know what is happening in the video but the two
kissing don’t know that the other girl has seen them kiss and has a
storyline to the song so it makes it more believable that this could
occur.
5. Fourth screen shot – close up
This shows the lead singers face and his emotions
during the song, the singer is also showing direct
address by looking straight into the camera and
interacting with the audience. The lead singers image is
a typical stereotype for the alternative rock image with
most bands wear.
6. Fifth screen shot – two shot
This two shows the lead singer and the lead guitarist this is a
constant reminder of the band and the artist in the band it also
shows there image as it mostly black clothing and long dark hair with
is in the barrier of being more rock then alternative rock. This shot
also shows what the band are doing with the movement and the
relationship between the two leads of the band.
7. Sixth screen shot – fast paced
editing
Face paced used as a build up for the drop to the next verse as they are all
jumping and bouncing around the stage. This a very common piece of editing
for the alternative rock genre as it can go from slow past editing to fast pace
making it more dramatic and follow the storyline.
