This document discusses using blogs to share audio and video files for knowledge construction. It introduces uploading media to blogs and sharing blogs through RSS feeds and subscriptions. Students can subscribe to classmate blogs to receive and discuss updated media posts. While the existing campus video server and LMS are limited, blogs encourage contribution, sharing and collaboration through features like comments. This helps create opportunities for knowledge building through discussion of shared media. 12. rss, subscription and Podcast You as a blogger, want somebody to receive your blog postings periodically, you need to create rss feed If you as a reader, want to receive blog postings periodically, you need to subscribe a blog Podcast is to feed your audio or media materials periodically to audience through feeder and subscription. Specific podcast viewer is needed, such as iTunes

15. Receive your subscription You have subscribed the blog and you can use IE8 to receive and view the blog

16. View your subscription in IE8 (Internet Explorer version 8) In the left hand side bar of IE8, you can view all of your subscription By tomorrow, if I post a new posting to my blog, you can receive in your IE8 and no need to go to the blog again Click My favorite My summary of subscription

Implications You can upload audio and video files to your blog from time to time Your classmates can subscribe your blogs and receive your updated audio and video files from time to time After viewing the video postings, peer can give comments to each other through comment box below the posting Sharing and discussion can be enhanced, which will create opportunity for knowledge creation Example: http://edblog.hkedcity.net/ies_wongwantin Notice that this weblog recorded the learning process of an enquiry-based project: From proposal, data collection, to web-based discussion and feedback, which were shared by a group of secondary school students.
