3. Jackbegan chasing waves as a child, and by the time he was 17, he was an outstandingsurfer. Aserious surfing accident convinced him to devote more time to otherhobbies. After studying cinematography in college, he turned his full attention to music.
4. “Thicker Than Water”, a surfing documentary,spotlighted Jack's talent as a director and also showed his flair for songwriting. Hisdebut album, called “Brushfire Fairytales”wasreleased in 2001.
5. In 2003 Jack issued “On and On”. Hereturnedtothestudioin 2005 and soon released “In Between Dreams”. In 2006 the soundtrack totheanimation “Curious George” earned Jack hisfirst-ever number one album on Billboard's Rock Albums charts.
6. Jack Johnson’sfifthalbum, “Sleep Through the Static”, was issuedin February 2008. His sixthstudio album, ”To the Sea”, willbereleasedduring the first week of June 2010.
