2. What is a Robot?
A robot is a mechanical or virtual
intelligent agent that can
perform tasks automatically or
with guidance, typically by
remote control. In practice a
robot is usually an electro-
mechanical machine that is
guided by computer and
electronic programming.
3. How robots help us in daily life?
When societies first began developing, nearly all
production and effort was the result of human labour, as
well as with the aid of semi- and fully domesticated
animals. As mechanical means of performing functions
were discovered, and mechanics and complex
mechanisms were developed.
4. Are robots used for entertainment purposes?
Apart from work robots are used for entertainment
purposes as well. For e.g. in Tokyo a robot was playing ping
pong. Even in certain countries robots are used for
household purposes and television ads etc.
5. What is the all over percentage of robots?
Roughly half of all the robots in the world are in Asia, 32% in
Europe, and 16% in North America, 1% in Australia and 1% in
Africa.[49] 30% of all the robots in the world are in Japan,[50]
making Japan the country with the highest number of robots.
6. Why do we call robotics the future of the world?
Man is working nowadays but today as far as our imagination has reached
we have made robotics which are used for work and entertainment
purposes. To make our lives more easy we now have robots. Now robots are
beginning to enter our lives in much more personal ways. Bill Gates writes
in his feature article "A Robot in Every Home," of nothing less than a
transformation of domestic life. It is only a matter of time.
