In einer Welt die zunehmend VUCA wird, hat die BMW Group IT eine einerseits einfache und andererseits sehr ambitionierte Strategie gewählt: 100% Agile. Diese Reise zu einer agilen Produktorganisation begann bereits vor längerer Zeit mit einigen verstreuten agilen Projekten. Mitte 2017 gewann die Bewegung deutlich an Dynamik mit einer großen Umorganisation, in der die bisher getrennten Bereiche Development und Operations im Sinne von DevOps vereint wurden. Neben diesem strukturellen Aspekt der Teams und ihrer Produkte, liegt der Schwerpunkt der agilen Transformation auf Kultur und Mindset, Technologie und Architektur und – trotz des offensichtlichen Widerspruchs zum agilen Manifest – auf Prozessen und Werkzeugen.
