From Ierapetra to Anatoli
Although the name of the village (Anatoli) means East, it is located at the
west of the city of Ierapetra, at an altitude of 600 m. with rocky
formations and natural springs. It has the characteristics of genuine
Cretan countryside and healthy, dry climate.

Class B from the department of Agriculture and some other students of
grade A and B, members of our Comenius team, escaped from the
classroom, together with our teachers: Giorgos Petsalakis, Maria
Sourgiadaki and Despoina Xomplaraki.

The teachers from the Center of Environmental Education of Ierapetra
organized the trip and the activities. At first, they told us about the
geomorphology of Crete and the change of the landscape through the
years because of the human activities.

The mountain, greenhouses in the plain and the sea: the basic elements
of the landscape in the area.
