USE 1 : REPEATED ACTIONS (PRESENT)

The action can be a habit, a hobby, a daily event, a
scheduled event or something that often happens
interrogative and negative auxiliary (do)

He, she it: doest not, doesn´t

Express that something is happening right now.
To say that something is happening for a limited time.

 My boyfriend was watching the TV show
 We were not playing soccer

 Where was Angela living before? specific response
 have” / ”has” + Past Participle of the verb
 It is used in the following three ways:
 To speak about a past event which happened
over a period of time and until now ended
 EXAMPLE: I have watched three seasons of
this TV show.
 To talk about an event from the past that has
an effect in the present.
EXAMPLE: I have paid the rent
To talk about a situation that began in a
specific time in the past and continues until
now.
EXAMPLE: I have studied english for five years.
 AFFIRMATIVE/NEGATIVE
I, you, we, they: have, have not

- Has she ever ridden a motorcycle? SI/NO
- Where have you been this morning?
 We use the Present Perfect Continuous to show that
something started in the past and has continued up until
now.
 You can also use the Present Perfect Continuous WITHOUT
a duration such as "for two weeks

 You have been waiting here for two hours.
 Have you been waiting here for two hours?
 You have not been waiting here for two hours

The Past Perfect Continuous is used to talk about actions or situations that were in

 The auxiliary Shall only used for the first person singular and plural .
While the assistant will be used in all cases

• The denial of the future is done simply by adding the adverb will not
between the auxiliary and the verb
SUJETO + will + not + VERBO
The interrogation It is formed by inverting the verb and the subject
will + SUJETO + VERBO?
