This document summarizes a project to restore habitats for priority bird species in Romania by planting willow trees. Over two sessions from 2014-2015 and 2016, 51 hectares of land were planted with Salix alba trees across several areas, despite difficulties from fluctuating water levels, grazing animals, and horses. The goal was to restore 55 hectares to benefit bird populations in the region.
