8. Most male adults have no jobs and spend most of the time drinking local brewed beer. These are female members of the church cooking traditional food for orphans and Vulnerable at our community school. Men drinking local beer

9. Our Church We meet in the church hall, while the children (Sunday school) meet in one of the rooms in our community school. This is to teach the children separately in their own context (Knowledge).

12. Train a child in the way he should grow and when he is old he will not depart from it. This is our Sunday school. Here, our children learn about the Lord through song, dance and story. Our Sunday school children responding by answering questions.

This is our community school, here the orphans and vulnerable children have the opportunity to attain primary education. we only have one government school in our community which can’t accommodate all the children in Mapalo. 14. Our community school has three classrooms and has 550 orphans & vulnerable – we hope to build toilets for our community school so that orphans and vulnerable can be catered with hygiene while being in the learning environment.

17. Youth Ministry This is our church drama group practicing a drama about issues such as HIV/AIDS awareness, chastity, love and behavior change process. Playing football in the week as the youths prepare for HIV/AIDS cup. Most of our activities are grounded in fellowship, prayer, and promoting HIV/AIDS awareness and abstinence.

18. Home Based Care Our church recognizes the need to help people living and affected with HIV/AIDS in our community. we are supporting 20 clients who are terminally ill with nutritional supplements under the program of Home Based Care (HBC) on a monthly basis As it said in Zambia, “ if you are not infected, you are affected.” We give nutritional, educational and recreational support to orphans.

19. Partnerships: Local Community We work closely with other local churches, sometimes holding joint events. Our pastor is also involved in the pastor’s fellowship who are pastors in churches working together to bring transformation to our community. Mapalo has one ward, with a Resident Development Committee (R.D.C). Our pastor is involved and is invited to discuss issues affecting our community. This gives him an opportunities to advocate for further development of the community.

20. The Future Our church has great vision for the future. Seeing the amazing challenges facing our community, we want our ministries to impart skills to the vulnerable. We would like to expand programs in teaching carpentry, tailoring and agriculture skills. We want to grow (expand) nutritional programmes, have a bole hole, build modern toilets for our community school, and evangelism. For now, we are moving at a sustainable pace –With the amazing grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, we have hope of achieving these goals.

21. Partnerships: We network with fifteen other churches on issues related to leadership, spiritual growth and social development. We thank God for support, training and practical help we receive from well wishers.
