Partnered with First Lady, Michelle Obama’
s Let’s Move! campaign, we want to
educate underprivileged and at risk
youth about living healthier, active
lifestyles. Moreover, by bringing the
students onto a university campus we
hope to inspire them to pursue higher
education and become capable, productive,
and successful young adults.
5. Event Overview
1st-12th grade students from local
afterschool clubs were guided by
collegiate athletes, semi-professional
dancers, and certified fitness instructors
through a course of 10 health and fitness
related activities. Upon completion,
students were entered into a raffle to win
donated prizes. Additionally participants
enjoyed nutritious snacks, performances,
and mentorship from CSULB students
