Thanks for your attention. ----------------------- Satyajit Ray was an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter, graphic artist, music composer and author, widely regarded as one of the greatest filmmakers of the 20th century. Ray was born in the city of Darbhanga, Bihar in a Bengali Brahmo family which was prominent in the field of arts and literature.

Ray is the first and the only Indian, yet, to receive the honor.
