2. ¿PARA QUÉ USAMOS LA VOZ PASIVA?
La voz pasiva se utiliza en inglés para:
Acciones cuyo sujeto activo se desconoce o no es
importante.
Our car was made in Korea.
Enfatizar una parte concreta de la oración.
The work will be finished today.
3. FORMACIÓN DE LA VOZ PASIVA.
Como regla general, la pasiva se forma añadiendo
el verbo to be+ el participio del verbo pero vamos a
ver como se formaría en los diferentes tiempos
verbales:
PRESENTE SIMPLE:
Su estructura es :
SUJETO+ am/is/are+ PARTICIPIO.
Anna takes these photos.
These photos is taken by Anna.
4. FORMACIÓN DE LA PASIVA.
PASADO SIMPLE.
Su estructura es:
SUJETO+ was/were+PARTICIPIO
I wrote the letter .
The letter was written by me.
PRESENTE PERFECTO.
Su estructura es:
SUJETO+have/has been+PARTICIPIO
Maria has taken a beer.
The beer has been taken by Maria.
5. FORMACIÓN DE LA PASIVA.
PASADO PERFECTO SIMPLE.
Su estructura es:
SUJETO+have/has+been+PARTICIPIO.
Jose has cleaned his car.
The car has been cleaned by Jose.
FUTURO “WILL”.
Su formación es:
SUJETO+will be+PARTICIPIO
I will visit the Alhambra
The Alhambra will be visited by me.
6. FORMACIÓN DE LA PASIVA.
FUTURO “GOING TO”.
Su estructura es:
SUJETO+am/is/are+going to be+PARTICIPIO
Peter is going to buy a car.
A car is going to be bought by Peter.
VERBOS MODALES.
Su estructura es:
SUJETO+VERBO MODAL+BE+PARTICIPIO
-John can/must/should eat potatoes
-Potatoes can/must/should be eaten by John.
7. CONSIDERACIONES PARA PASAR UNA
ORACIÓN ACTIVA A PASIVA.
El sujeto de la oración pasiva será el objeto de la frase
en activa.
Sustituiremos el verbo principal por el auxiliar “to be” ,
en su mismo tiempo y el verbo principal en participio.
Sí decimos quien es el sujeto que realiza la acción
(sujeto agente), éste irá precedido por la preposición
“by”.
Veamos un ejemplo:
My father walks the dog.
The dog is walked by my father.

My mother has cleaned the

Marta´s boyfriend has bought the
ring.
The ring has been bought by
Marta´s boyfriend.
