Share your passion. Find your mission. Blog from the heart
For me it was easy, the first social network I joined was Couchsurfing back in 2006
My first 3 blog posts were about nothing much in particular – mainly about starting to blog, and being scared. Once you get started and get in the groove it gets a bit easier.
Don’t try and be Dylan Thomasor Lewis Carroll, be yourself with all of your tone and nuances but capture you in your writing and your social media. This takes practice. I was very insecure about my writing at first, but your tone and voice develops with practice. Let your personality come through.
Tell stories, with words and visuals, bring your readers in…Know your strengths. Work on your weaknesses. Read other blogs to get ideas.
Use fun themes eg. Vines, instagramsetc…
Don’t be ordinary. Be orginal and authentic. Let your personality come through. Most of all Have fun.
Since I’m not much good at SEO, most of my traffic comes from social channels. That being said, don’t broadcast. RT, share others content, comment, respond. Be personal & personable.
Join networks, start your tribe. Help. Be kind and sincere. Build trust
