3. An e-book or electronic book is a book published in an electronic format instead of being published on paper E-books contain the same information as if the book was printed. This is considered a book source, not a web source. You read an e-book digitally on your computer What is an e-Book?

4. To Search Ebrary for E-books First click on the red “Research” box.

5. To Search Ebrary for E-books Next, click on the “Ebooks” link.

6. To Search Ebrary for E-books Finally, click on “EBRARY”

7. Accessing E-books from Home If you are accessing e-books from off-campus, you will be asked to login. This is your ICC login and password. Please contact the library if you have any difficulties logging in.

8. This is the entry point and search page for Ebrary. Enter your search terms into either search box

9. Your results list will look like this:

10. Refine your search, if needed. Use these options to refine your search.

11. Look through the results list to find an e-book that you are interested in viewing Click on the title that you want to view

12. Now You Are Viewing the E-book

13. Scroll down to the bottom of the page to get the information for citations.

14. Navigate the e-book with these features Turn the page with these arrow buttons or double click on the page.

15. Table of Contents Use the Table of Contents to skip from chapter to chapter.

16. Full-Text Searching Enter keywords in this search box and they will be highlighted through the text.

17. Select a Specific Page Enter the specific page number.

18. Printing and Other InfoTools Print a single page and use many other options with the “InfoTools” menu.

19. Layout Options For a different layout of the e-book select the “ebrary Reader” button and install the plug-ins.

20. Ebrary Reader View Contains the same navigation options at the original view, but with a different look

21. Some ebrary features require you to have a free account. Click on “Sign in” in the top right corner.

22. Sign in or Create a free account Sign In Create a new account

23. Create a New Account Fill in the fields and check the boxes to create an account

24. Signed-In Features By creating an account you can save e-books to your bookshelf and make virtual notes and highlight marks.
