Campus.
Other might say that technology
especially computer is harmful to man,
especially in man’s learning. Computer
technology truly gives us the important
information and help us through our daily
learning. For modern students are into
modern technology thus it is easy for us to
adapt change. Internet and computer
technology is a useful tool in changing the
traditional ways into a resource-based
learning.
A field study which is concerned with the
practice of using educational methods and
resources. It involved in applying a complex,
integrated process to analyze and solve
problems in human learning. It consists of a
designs and environments that engage
learners.
Educational Technology 1
Meaning of Ed. Tech.
It is the art or craft of responding to our
educational needs.
Is technology a blessing or a curse to
education?
Technology is a blessing for man. With
technology there is a lot that we can do
which we could not do then. That is how
teaching and learning have become more
novel, stimulating, exciting, fresh and
engaging with the use of multimedia in the
classroom. However, when not used properly,
technology becomes a defriment to learning
and development.
TECHNOLOGY
 Traditional Way
Learner learns from the technology and the
technology serves as a TEACHER.
 Constructivist Way
Technology serves as a PARTNER IN
LEARNING.
1.Technology as tools to support knowledge
construction:
For representing learner’s ideas,
understanding, and beliefs
2.Technology as information vehicles for
exploring knowledge to support learning-by-
constructing:
For comparing perspectives, beliefs, and
world views.
3. Technology as context to support learning-
by-doing:
For representing beliefs, perspectives,
arguments and stories of others.
4. Technology as a social medium to support
learning by conversing:
For collaborating with others
5. Technology as intellectual partner to
support learning-by-reflecting:
For helping what learners to articulate and
represent what they know.

 To look at the characteristics and learning
preferences of various generational groups.
Compare and contrast different generational
cohorts.
 To understand how we can bridge the
generational gap not only in teaching.
The learner learns the importance of
integrating technology in teaching. He can
distinguish between the traditional and
constructivist way of using technology in
teaching. Above all he learns to appreciate
and use the computer technology and
internet in a wise and useful way.

  • 3. I am Mika F. Castillanes, 18 years old, currently living at Badian,Cebu. A third year student taking up Bachelor of Secondary of Education Major in Home Economics Technology at Cebu Technological University-Moalboal Campus.
  • 4. Other might say that technology especially computer is harmful to man, especially in man’s learning. Computer technology truly gives us the important information and help us through our daily learning. For modern students are into modern technology thus it is easy for us to adapt change. Internet and computer technology is a useful tool in changing the traditional ways into a resource-based learning.
  • 5. A field study which is concerned with the practice of using educational methods and resources. It involved in applying a complex, integrated process to analyze and solve problems in human learning. It consists of a designs and environments that engage learners.
  • 6. Educational Technology 1 Meaning of Ed. Tech. It is the art or craft of responding to our educational needs.
  • 7. Is technology a blessing or a curse to education? Technology is a blessing for man. With technology there is a lot that we can do which we could not do then. That is how teaching and learning have become more novel, stimulating, exciting, fresh and engaging with the use of multimedia in the classroom. However, when not used properly, technology becomes a defriment to learning and development.
  • 8. TECHNOLOGY  Traditional Way Learner learns from the technology and the technology serves as a TEACHER.  Constructivist Way Technology serves as a PARTNER IN LEARNING.

Technology as a social medium to support learning by conversing: For collaborating with others 5. Technology as intellectual partner to support learning-by-reflecting: For helping what learners to articulate and represent what they know.

The product is the be-all and end-all of learning. 5. Assessment is quantitative. Resource-Based Learning Model 1.Teacher is a guide and facilitator. 2. Source are varied. 3.Focus on learning inquiry/quest/discovery. 4. Emphasis of process. 5. Assessment is quantitative
  • 18. Teachers Role Students Role Computers Role Insures that students have the needed knowledge and skills for any computer activities. Receives information. Act as a sort of tutor.

Bridging the Generation Gap  To look at the characteristics and learning preferences of various generational groups. Compare and contrast different generational cohorts.  To understand how we can bridge the generational gap not only in teaching.
  • 20. The learner learns the importance of integrating technology in teaching. He can distinguish between the traditional and constructivist way of using technology in teaching. Above all he learns to appreciate and use the computer technology and internet in a wise and useful way.
