It's my presentation on social innovation for Youth2Youth Summit in Vilnius, April 2015. http://y2ysummit.org/
I share my views on social innovation, social entrepreneurship and tactical urbanism.
12. Tactical urbanism - reclaim, reuse, revitalize
• Tactical urbanism enables and entices people
to reclaim public space and create a new
friendlier environment putting pedestrians
and community first
• Small scale actions serving larger purpose
• “the lack of resources is no longer an excuse
not to act.” Jaime Lerner, Architect, urbanist,
former mayor of Curitiba, Brazil
36. Scale
In 2014 Mom’s Fair in Vilnius and
Kaunas received 137.500 of stuff
from 1 500 families, over 60 %
was sold, the rest was donated.
