This classwork made by Mireia and me is about metalheads, a urban tribe. When were they formed, how are they physically or psychically, festivals they like to go and more. Mireia & Adelina:).

1. URBAN TRIBE:
METALHEADS

2. How were they formed?
 They were formed in the post-war era in Europe
and North America because of a general
discontent for the stance of the daily life and
power structure.
 The first important metalheads groups appears
in the 60’ and 70’, then it’s when they’re music
was created.

3. How are they physically?
 Male: they have long hair (most of them), they normally
wear bands T-shirts, camouflage capris or long jeans and
leather jacket or denim vest with band patches.
 Female: long (dyed) black/red/blonde hair, usually they
wear make-up, they wear jeans, leather leggins, leather
boots, corsets or black dresses and also bands T-shirts
 Both of them have the same accesories like spiked
bracelets, bullet belt or piercings.

4. How are they psychically?
 They are normal people, with the same
thoughts as everyone, but they don’t care
about everything so much and they have fun
in a different way. They love going out with
their buds, and they search for more people
like them and with the same taste of music.
They hate posers.

5. Metal music:
 Metalheads likes a lot of different kinds of metal, there is heavy,
power, thrash, death, glam, black, gothic, metalcore... Etc. For
example:
 Heavy Iron Maiden, Scorpions, Judas Priest, Mötorhead, KISS...
 Power Mago de Öz, Helloween, Manowar, Gamma Ray...
 Thrash Metrakillator, Metallica, Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer...
 Death Incantation, Kreator, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel...
 Glam Warrant, Aerosmith, Van Halen, Poison, Mötley Crüe...
 BlackVenom, Bathory, Mayhem, Immortal, Burzum, Darkthrone...
 Gothic Moonspell, Lacuna Coil, Within Temptation, Nightwish...
 Metalcore Asking Alexandria, Architects, Of Mice & Men...
 The typical instruments in metal is drums, electric guitar and bass.

6. How people see them?
 People normally sees them as satanists,
problematics, lefts, bad people, drunks,
junkies, dangerous people, dirties, rude
people but all of them are estereotips.

7. Metalheads evolution.
 They came from rock music. Other urban
tribes like punks, goths, moshers, grunge,
came from metal but with differents styles
and they became with another ideology
because their thoughts changes.

8. Best festivals for metalheads.
 Hellfest in France, 3 days in Clisson City , listening and watching the best bands
performing live.
 Wacken in Germany, 3 days too in Wacken town (also called the heavy metal
town).
 Sonisphere in Finland, Poland, Spain, Germany, Italy..., just one day but it’s like a
tour that’s why it goes to another countries. Bands like Iron Maiden went to the
Sonisphere Festival.
 Rock am Ring Germany, 3 days in Nürburgring. Asking Alexandria, Foo Fighters,
Mötohead and more bands are going to this festival next year and it looks awesome.
 Copenhell Denmark, 3 days, bands like Behemoth, Twisted Sister and more went to
this festival.
 Impericon Germany, France, Spain, England..., 1 day but bands like Heaven Shall
Burn, Bury Tomorrow went to it.
 Metalheads love festivals, they have fun being with their friends and watching their
favorite band or singer and they meet new people.
