2. About page:
My research topic is…
With such advanced technology today, we spend at least one third of our day facing the screen which in
this case are the smartphones, tablets, computers and televisions. It has always been a controversial
topic of whether the fast developing technology is good or bad for people. I will be investigating the
effects of technology, especially on the child’s developments.
3. Historical
Back in the days people have to do almost
everything by hands. To make life easier
and more efficient with tasks, they created
the technology. Technology is everywhere
and is used anytime. It is constantly
revised which creates many controversial
issues.
Invention timeline...
● Electric power - late 19th century
● First TV - 1927
● First computer - mid-1900s
● First cellphone/mobile phone - 1973
● Internet - 1990-99
History of Technology
4. Individuals Involved
Every individual is involved in the effects of technology. The three individuals that may be referenced
in my topic are the generation Z, the parents and the teachers. As my topic is focused more on the
children development, they are more relevant to the discussion of my topic than another does. The
Generation Z perceived as being familiar with internet and social media from a very young age. The
parents are the one who allow and buy the technology. The teachers are the one who asks to use the
technology.
5. Questions I have about the technology
1. Why technology is invented?
2. How much effect it has on the children?
3. Should parents limit the use of the internet on their kids?
4. Do the children act differently with the amount of time they spend on the
screen?
6. Opposing Viewpoint
A viewpoint about technology I disagree with...
● The technology lover would mention a point of view that would argue for continuing the
advanced technology and the benefit side of it.
● The technology hater would mention an article that how technology is harming their life. For
example, the physical store business, face-to-face communication, and the education are
some areas where technology is having a significant impact.
