This document provides guidance for fundraising through ModaVive, a platform that helps groups raise money by collecting and selling donated clothing. It outlines a 5-step process: 1) plan a clothing drive campaign, 2) promote the drive to collect donations, 3) collect high-quality brand name clothing and accessories, 4) ship donated items to ModaVive, and 5) ModaVive professionally photographs and markets the items online, with the group receiving 60% of net proceeds from sales. ModaVive handles photography, marketing, and shipping costs for items and provides tools like promotional materials and social media support to help groups maximize funds raised.
2. Make an impact with what you’re wearing – and what you no
longer wear. We call it refashioned giving.
Use
this
guide
to
start:
• Hosting a fundraiser.
• Raising money for your Mocha Moms chapter.
• Turning clothes and accessories into tools for change.
• Shopping serious (serious) deals on new and secondhand style.
• Giving back with what’s already in your closet.
3. ModaVive is a new way for groups to raise money for causes
they care about. When groups partner with us, they collect
donations of new and gently worn apparel in great
condition and we work together to promote and sell them
online.
We professionally photograph what you collect and help
market and promote through digital marketing campaigns,
social media and customizable materials to spread the word
about shopping for your cause. You’ll earn 60% of the net
proceeds for Mocha Moms.
Partner with us to raise funds for Mocha Moms!
4. Refashion Your Giving
Partnering with ModaVive means fundraising with closets, not
wallets. Encourage friends, family and those in your community
to donate gently-worn special occasion dresses, designer
apparel, handbags and accessories and turn them into cash for
your cause.
• There are no upfront expenses.
• You don’t have to ask anyone for money.
• It helps with volunteer recruitment and retention.
• There are no checks or cash to exchange.
• It builds camaraderie within your organization.
• It’s tons of fun!
How It Works
You earn 60% of the net proceeds. What about the other 40%,
you ask? We inspect, photograph, measure, describe, upload
and help market every item accepted and cover shipping for
purchases over $50, as well as inbound shipping for 50+
accepted items.
