This presentation shows you how to log into a GageNet server to save and retrieve your files.

1. Remote Log In from
GageNet Computers
aka
“Connect to Server…⌘K”
or
“How to save your stuff on
GageNet servers”

2. Go to the
“Connect to Server… ⌘K”
command from the
Go menu

3. Highlight or type
in the name of
your server. You
may have to
check with your
teacher or the
Technology
Center to identify
your server.
You won’t need to type in the “afp://”
when typing in the name of your
server. Just the server name.

4. Once your server
name is in the
“Server Address:”
field, click

5. Enter your
GageNet user
name and
password,
then click

6. You have now reached your home directory – your
name will be on top of the window.
Make sure to save your work to the right folder.

7. This window shows you the file “path” –
this is where to find your home directory.

8. Remember to ask for
help if you need it.
