What is it for? A bespoken service for the teaching activity, when teachers:
• prepare a new subject,
• redesign an existing one
• use it as a part of an assessment
• or include it as classroom resource
Result: a tailor-made report based on teachers’ information needs:
• UOC-generated materials used in other subjects
• Resources available at the Library (books, articles, specialist journals, etc.)
• and other external information sources (open or with licences that permit

What’s T-REX? Is the Traceability of External Resources tool which lets teachers to request, renew or
delete existing resources from their subjects. They can also check the status of their requests.
External learning resource: they are not the property of the UOC but of other publishers or authors,
which need copyright management to publish and use them in the classroom within the established legal
framework.

The Recommended Reading (RR) is the list of optional reference documents that professors
recommend for their courses.

Teachers can request publication of a dossier on a subject on the Library’s website. The dossiers include
a series of resources and explanations on how to use them during the teaching of their subjects.

Some courses have materials in physical formats. These materials are sent in the post. Shipment of
materials may be mandatory or optional. In the case of optional shipments, we will only send them if you
state that you want us to do so.

● We conduct an analysis and assessment of the learning resources of a subject
● we offer a report showing data on the current status of the matter; for instance, what learning
resources are offered in the classroom and some quantitative data with regard to them and a
number of proposed improvements to the learning resources (comments, recommendations and
proposals on adding and/or updating resources).
● We also help teachers to create the quality accreditation report for the programme
