  2. 2. *Starting point:*Planning a studyunit to increase creativity by theuse of Social Media*Creative methods used in contact lessons inclassrooms within social service studies: music,drama, arts & crafts, sports , photography etc.*Social media known by students and used duringstudies: Optima (virtual classroom), Skype, ConnectPro, Google tools, FB, Twitter, Youtube etc.*Students have already learnt how to makeinnovations, how to be creative during theirsocalled Business spirit studies (B-Spirit)
  3. 3. Questions:1. Can we teach creative methods in socialmedia?2. Can we increase people’s creativeness andmake it available to everybody’s daily life byusing social media?3. Can people experience and producecreativity and new ideas by the use of socialmedia?4. Can we make people inspired, co-operativeand innovative by the use of social media?
  4. 4. Objectives:*To plan in groups a happening or workshop insocial media by using creative methods*To increase learning and creativeness by theuse of social media*To learn how to use the social media as a toolof counselling creative methods, sharing ideas,making new things and innovate together

The instructions needed in the beginning:-Instructions of how to use the social media,how to behave in social media, instructions ofthe tools of social media.-Instructions of dialogue-Organizing the counselling needed (mainlydiscussion arenas)2. Writing about how one uses social mediaoneself and gathering information and writinghow people in average use the social media.

Planning in a group of 4 students how tocouncel a happening or workshop virtually to achosen group. Implementing the workshop.Keeping a diary and document it.5. Meeting regularly with the other students insocial media and sharing peer-to peer advice,evaluation, ideas etc.6. Writing an article to a blog about theimplementation and evaluation of the workshop.Reading the other students’ articles.7. Evaluating the studyunit; learning creativemethods, counselling the group, using socialmedia and its’ advantages and disadvantagesand suitability for learning creative methods.

Implementations (examples):1) A common jogging event on Sunday morning.2) Drawing with 3-6 –year old children andorganizing an art exhibition in FB.3 )A common happening (Flash Mob) in the areaof the main railway station – to join to”Elephants’ Marching”.4) A photograph tells more than 1000 words.

Results: What did we learn about this?*our young students know alot about socialmedia and can use it*social media is quite an open space forcreativeness and there are no limits*it is easy to find people to co-operate andshare their ideas in social media*social media seems to be availble for ordinarypeople*feedback was positive*the daily creativity and suitable tools seem tobe the basis for innovative work
