New and enhanced features for the users as well as admin
The Look and Feel of Alfresco has been modified. The icons were removed for Sites, people, etc. Few new themes were introduced The thumbnails were modified in Document Library
The thumbnail for various file types has been modified, to provide a more pleasing look in Alfresco 5.0
Select the files to be downloaded from the ‘Select’ option. The user has multiple ways to select such as: 1. Select only the documents - Only the documents are selected (Not folders) 2. Select only the folders - Only the folders are selected (Not documents) 3. Select All - Each and every file in the Document Library are selected Invert the selected files - The file selection is inverted. In the Document Library , files for which the checkbox was selected will be unchecked and vice versa. Select none. - All the files for which the checkbox was selected will be unchecked.
After selecting the necessary files, press ‘Selected Items’ and then ‘Download as Zip’
The download progress bar is shown with the total number of selected files
The files are downloaded in a zip format as ‘Archive.zip’
The selected files can be extracted in ‘Archive.zip’ from ‘Downloads’ folder
Type the keyword in the given search bar located at the top right corner of the window. The search results will be shown from: Documents Sites People On clicking ‘Enter’ button, the user will be redirected to detailed search
In the previous version, the search results are displayed as above. Filtering the search results was not facilitated.
The recent version has a detailed search option. The user can narrow his/her search with the below options: File Type (format) Creator (author) Modifier (recent modifier of the document) Created (time of document creation) Modified (time of document modification) Size (document size)
To narrow the search, just press the filter. The filter is ‘on’ and user could see ‘green tick mark’ near the filter. To remove the filter, press the filter again

There is a option in ‘My Tasks’ dashlet called ‘All Tasks’. The ‘All Tasks’ page displays all the open tasks irrespective of due, priority, assignee.

User status in QuantiCliQ.
The user can update the status in Alfresco just like status updates in social media. When the user wants to update it, he/she can update it by replacing the old status. Also, if the user wants to remove the status, he/she can remove the status and click on ‘Post Status’. Every status update gets reflected in ‘My Activities’ dashlet. (Other than removing status)
My Files option is placed in the menu bar. When a user places a document in ‘My Files’, the document will NOT be visible to other users of the organization (other than Admin). The advantage of using ‘My Files’ is that, rather than saving content on laptop or tablet, the user can save it in Alfresco and still keep it private until it&apos;s ready to be shared.
Shared Files option is placed in the menu bar. When a user places a document in ‘Shared Files’, the document will be visible to every other user of the organization. The advantage of using ‘Shared Files’ is that, the user can share the files to users without the need of creating sites, adding members, etc.
In Document Library, an option is provided for folder creation from template. The templates will be listed when the user place the mouse over ‘Create folder from template’
The folder templates can be added through Repository Data Dictionary Space Templates

In QuantiCliQ, every unwanted site has to be deleted separately. It is quite a time consuming process
The ‘Sites Manager’ is different from ‘Site Manager’. From this page, the Administrator can: Site Description View/Change the site visibility (Public, Private, Moderated) Check whether the Administrator is a ‘Site Manager’ Delete the unwanted sites
