JIMMY EAT WORLD GETS 20% OF RECORD SALES
STRAIGHT FROM TWITTER.
That’s right, Twitter, the micro-blogging service that enables its users to post and read text-based status
updates of up to 140 characters in length. The band gained 200,000 followers on Twitter in its ﬁrst 30
days of using the service. According to TopSpin, within a month of the release of 2009’s Clarity Live,
Twitter had delivered more than 22% of all trafﬁc to the Jimmy Eat World site and resulted in more than
20% of the album sales.
