The first information a student or parent
sees each time they log into Family

Links in the welcome message can be to
external websites or another portion of the
student’s Family Connection account
8. Images and Videos
Images can be added from a web-based
photo sharing site like Picasa or Snapfish
and videos from any video sharing website
such as YouTube or Vimeo
10. What is a Custom HTML Page?
A way for schools to build content directly
into their Family Connection page
No limit on the number of custom pages
per grade-level
11. Custom HTML Pages vs. Documents
Custom pages allow students and parents
to access information within Family
Connection without having to open or save a
document
Pages can be ordered
13. What is a Custom Link?
A link to a URL that opens in a new
window for students when accessed via
Family Connection

15. What is a News Bulletin?
A reminder for students and parents that
can be posted in Family Connection
No limit on number of news bulletins per

16. Headline and Start/End Dates
Headline should grab the student’s
attention
Start and end dates can be used to ensure
news bulletins are only displaying current
information
