My First Day Of A Job
When I was a sophomore I decided to get a job. I applied to movie theaters, restaurants, and retail.
I was lucky enough to get hired from one of the retail stores I applied to. I was jubilant! I was
picturing in my head, me, rolling around in piles of money and wearing extravagant clothes!
When I finally got my schedule, I realized that my first day of work was black Friday. So when
the time came for me to in for my shift, I was super nervous. As I walked into the store around
eight in the morning, I was bombarded by a hoard of people trying to the best deals before
anyone else. I thought that since I had a later shift, maybe, the customers would have died down.
Boy was I wrong. It seemed as though more people came in as the hours went by. All throughout
the day I felt like a deer in headlights. I couldn't seem to learn the tricks of the trade fast enough and
I really didn't know my co–workers very well. Most of the customers were not happy with me that
day. At the end of my shift I was tired and cranky, but I decided that I was going to stick this
through. What I didn't realize then is that I was walking into hell.
As time went by I got the hang of things and I realized that I was actually pretty good at my job. I
was proficient at customer service, but not so skilled at folding. A shift can consist of straightening
the clothes and nothing else. That entails board folding, putting the clothes into size order, and
filling in the missing sizes. I have had many of these

This memo is in attention to the current employees in reference to a job analysis of all positions on
account of the fact that the organization must mandate the compliance of all regulations. As the
human resources representative leader, it is my job to inform everyone in the office of what will
be needed to be reviewed per the CEO of this company. First off the job analysis is only a thorough
explanation of the duties the make up each of the positions that have been currently filled in this
company, furthermore there are three focal aspects to this topic. The focal points include job
requirements, competency–based, and job reward. The job requirements will consist of a report of
what each employee does in addition to what is the proper procedure for the production.
Correspondingly that employee must conclude that statement with what equipment and material
must be used. The best way to collect this information is interviews, task questionnaires, and
observations. The job analysis is only here to inform the each of the employees of the responsibilities
that should have been met within the standard of the company and these standards should have been
explained to all employees upon accepting their current job placement, thus stated will be a list of all
the requirements in terms of aptitudes, attitudes, knowledge, skills, and physical expectations. The
objectives of this job analysis will have to include the recommended and more importantly
well–organized approaches for each of

My Job Shadowing Career
You may be asking yourself what is a day like in grade school teachers life. I was curious of the
same thing, which is why I chose to job shadow a Junior High School teacher/coach. I did my job
shadowing experience with Chris Page, at Diboll Junior High. He works there as a seventh grade
science teacher and a boys junior high athletics coach. This combination is very common in small
school districts across Texas, that is, having a teacher double as an athletic advisor in their school
system. I had the opportunity to experience this first hand recently and have had the chance to
decide if this is what career I'd like to pursue. To summarize this profession I have done extensive
research online and in libraries before and following my job shadowing. The average school
teacher in the state of Texas makes about $57,000, he said that that was pretty close to what he
actually made. As we all know teachers get a lot of vacation time compared to most professions,
getting typically a week or two at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break. Also teachers have an
extended break in the summer months anywhere from the end of May through to the beginning of
September, just depending on the area they live and work. On a different note, teachers have
multiple responsibilities in their schools aside...show more content...
My main mentor was the 7th grade science teacher, in that class the students worked in partners to
complete a review for an upcoming test. But at the beginning of each class one of the school
councilors came in to help the students create their schedule for the next school year. I think that
was a good experience to have, it showed first hand as a teacher you have to be able to adapt to
changing situations. Whenever Mr. Page, my mentor, got to school this was thrown on him, he had
to modify what he had scheduled to meet the administration's

My Experience With My Job Essay
"Tell me and I may forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." Learning takes
place in many aspects, but for me I learned so much by my experiences. From my first job all the
way to my current job. My experiences make me who I am today; After high school I went to
college and graduated with an associates degree in legal studies this is I learned from my law
teacher Ms. Campbell that " you won 't know the law by memorization but by Application" and that
stuck with me all these years and I apply that fundamental principle to life.
My Job at J.C.Penny was one of the first learning experiences that I had in the workforce. I learned
so much allow me to explain. I started as a sales support associate and as a sales support associate I
was in charge of offering items to clients and giving those clients any help as required amid the
sales procedure. Also, to create and keep up positive client connections to guarantee clients
retention. As a Sales supports associate I was required to met organizational objectives, (for
example, those identified with deals) and work inside organization rules and directions at all times.
This was just the tip of the iceberg for my customer experience exposure. Then after four months I
got promoted to sales associate/ cashier. My job duties were to Guarantee that every Client gets
extraordinary Client benefit by giving a Client well–disposed environment, including welcoming and
recognizing each Client, keeping up exceptional

My Dream Career Of A Criminal Investigator
During my career analysis I learned a lot about my dream job, some good things and some bad.
Over all my passion on becoming a detective or criminal investigator became stronger and more
intriguing. To become a criminal investigator I will have to receive my bachelors in science and
have experience in law enforcement. Apolice detective does not need to go to college but it is
highly recommended, the training people need to become detectives is commonly received at the
police academy. The average wage of someone in the criminal justice field is around 58 thousand
dollars (United States Department of Labor ). A detective can retire after twenty to twenty–five years
on the job, what I have read is the retirement of a police detective is a very controversial area.
Criminal justice field is a very dangerous career which means there is a lot of policies put in play
to keep employers and civilians safe. Policies are made to keep other people safe as well as
yourself. Every choice made is closely examined to insure you followed every policy correctly. A
huge critical issue today is the controversy between citizens hating law enforcement, most of that
hatred is because they do not agree with criminal justice policies. Criminal justice is one of the
hardest jobs in the world because of the ethics involved with the job. After all of the research into the
criminal justice system I became more intrigued in the career.
There are so many reasons why I picked criminal justice as

What Is My Dream Job Essay
Pursuing My Dream Job Everyone wants to be something when they grow up, and there are
millions of professions to choose from. During my four long years of high school, I have learned
and experienced many things in and out of the classroom. Some of it helped me decide what
profession I wanted to pursue when I graduated, but I mostly got the idea when I was eleven
years old and my sister had her triplets that were born premature. I want to have a job that gives
back to the community, that involves children and infants. I've had a lot of time to think about
what I want to be when I graduate from high school. As a freshman and sophomore, thinking
about a profession was not a priority because I thought I had plenty of time to decide. As I
approached the time that I will be on my own, I started to panic a little. This profession that I
chose will most likely be my job for most of my life. I thought of all the terrible things that could
come out of picking the wrong profession. What if I end up hating this job? What if I won't be
able to meet the qualifications of the profession I decide to pursue? Thanks to my mom, she calmed
me down and always had an answer. I was...show more content...
The main one is because I will have the privilege to help the children and infants of my
community. As I work with them, I think it would be so cool to discover their personalities and
see their progress. I had nieces and nephews ever since I was four. I was drawn to them from the
day they were born, spending a lot of time babysitting and playing with them. Because of this
opportunity, I get to see how different each one is. I don't have any younger siblings, so when I am
around my nieces and nephews, I learn how a child develops and matures. I understand how they act
when they are going through different emotions. I think this is a great start to becoming a nurse,
because now I know how to interact with and care for children and

My Career Journey
Throughout my own personal career journey, I have met and worked with many wonderful people.
Many challenges that I have overcome because of the help they gave me. There was a lot that I
learned about youth development, working alongside these individuals. There was one person that
from the moment we met, we knew that we were going to be an effective team and accomplish
many things that would help the students we provided services for. As her assistant I learned to be
assertive in a leadership role, to make decisions that would help the program succeed, and to create
partnerships with other organizations that provide resources, not just for the students, also their
families.
The person that I chose to interview, her name is 'Michelle.' She was not just my supervisor, she
became my mentor and the person I can count on for any advice I needed regarding the field of
youth development.
How I met my interviewee, Michelle (pseudonym) I went through a rough experience in my life
that affected me emotionally. At the time I was unemployed; I was looking for a new opportunity
that was within the field of working with children. My mother found out through a friend that she
was looking for new staff and advised me to contact her. I met with her, discussed my background,
and from there a new journey began. 'Michelle' is a Hispanic female of Dominican descent. She is
married with four children. She has worked in the field of youth development for more than 10
years. She is passionate

Sample Resume : My Job Essay
My job is laid out in simple steps: hand each person a clear plastic cup full of cold tap water from
the counter sink that is carried by a black plastic tray that we must balance with one hand; take
their order; enter it in the POS System; wait for the bussers to distribute the food; check on them
midway through their meal; hand check; collect. Of course there is sometimes extra steps, where
the customers ask for a specific request, but most of the time, the routine never strays away from
the norm. It's usually the same old, same old. Throughout the shift, it isn't rare to experience
memorable customers. Almost all waitresses experience these kinds of people and Soho Park is
no exception. After all, it is conveniently a block away from the tourist trap of Broadway, so there
is no doubt people of distinct personalities decide to stop by for a quick bite. We like to categorize
these types of interesting customers in a unanimous criterion. We mainly base these types from
their personality and tipping experiences on past tables with similar qualities. "Whenever you print
out a bill, make sure to write 'thank you' on the check," Codie says on my first training day. She
writes in her signature narrow script before adding a heart at the end of her note. "Sometimes these
notes will get you more tips." She prints out another check from her section and glanced at the table
where two women were speaking in a thick European accent. After writing her typical thank you
note, she adds

My First Job Experience
My First Job Experience "Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is the
experience of being fully engaged in whatever I'm doing." says Phil Jackson, a former American
professional basketball player. People always whine about how their first job experience was
terrible and there's only one reason which is not getting enough amount of money for their work.
I think people need to think that job is not always about money as I discovered from my first job.
About three years back, I had just turned sixteen and had finished 10th grade so I was enjoying my
summer vacation just like other kids enjoying their summer vacation after a long school year. One
day, my mother said I should get a job. She said it would teach me how to...show more content...
The workplace was always very clean, which also created a nice environment around me to focus
on my work. That's really a good thing because a nice working environment keeps me safe,
healthy, and gives me more energy to do my work. This company was also very well organized. I
feel I was one of the lucky one who got a job in very nice and organized company. I received a
good salary, had a nice working environment and was given respect by other employees which
were really amazing despite being the youngest employee. When I entered in this job, I knew
nothing. I was completely inexperienced and unskilled worker but after working here, this job
helped me to improve my working skills such as how to communicate with people around me,
never try to be hypocrite, stay calm and focus only on my work. Having a job also taught me to
value my own work, and what I put into something. As my mother said, this job also taught me
how to handle my responsibilities by myself. I became responsible for some of my own expenses.
This was a valuable experience for me. I learned the value of the money and taking my own
decisions about what I spend my money on. On Short, I feel that if a person works just for the sake
of money then there's no point of working. Yes, money is important but no person can enjoy the
work if that person is only working there for the sake of

The job of my dreams Essay
My Job Now and The Job of My Dreams
Who doesn't want the perfect job? Most people who are not happy at their current jobs are usually
looking for something better. Some people look for better hours, environment, or maybe just a
substantial raise. Where there are advantages in jobs, there is usually going to be at least one small
disadvantage. Weighing out the options can help people make the right choices. Although we would
all like to have the job of our dreams, unfortunately, it only happens to a few of us.
My present job consists of customer service, daily paperwork, as well as opening and closing the
store. My employer keeps us quite busy all day long. The hardest part of my...show more content...
Whenever there is a problem that I cannot handle, he usually takes care of it. This means a lot to
me, especially since he goes beyond the call of duty. Another advantage is I can usually ask off with
no questions asked. Finally, my coworkers are very good people and have become like family to me.
My nice manager, vacation time, and friendly coworkers make up for all the disadvantages of my job.
I would love to be able to snap my fingers and be in the job of my dreams. Number one on my list
would be to talk and work with people, but not have to deal with them all day long. I have always
enjoyed working with people; however, I have worked for the public for thirteen years. I'd like to
break the monotony and have a small office job for a while. In this dream job, the boss would be
me! I would have my own assistant to do all of my undesirable tasks. I would work Monday
through Thursday with the rest of the week off. The weekends would finally be mine. Next, my
job would be by appointment only, so I could have my own time to relax. My office would have a
sofa so that I could take naps on my lunch hour. There would also be a window I could open that
overlooked the ocean. My paycheck would be increased to double what I make now. I could have the
finer things in life. All of the luxury items I want would be available to me. Finally, My dream job
would be a stress–free job!

My Experience At My Part Time Job
Over the past few months, I have been working diligently at my part time job. After saving every
last penny that I earned, I now have a total of $3,000. What better way to spend my summer
earnings than to treat myself to an extravagant vacation? To make my extremely difficult decision of
where to go easier, I have narrowed down my choice to only two destinations: Brussels, Belgium, and
Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Although I have simplified my selection to only two vacations, the
decision is still quite difficult; after comparing my transportation costs, the price of my hotel and
other essential accommodations, average meal prices, and the exciting excursions I have
planned, my decision should come much easier. Every child's dream, including mine, is to be
surrounded by chocolate for a week; this dream of mine has lured me to consider Brussels,
Belgium, as a lavish vacation spot. Before I can begin my journey there, I have decided to
organize a detailed plan of my exhilarating vacation. First, my family generously offered to drive
me to the Memphis International Airport in Tennessee, where I will board my first flight to
Belgium on June first. Aside from my flight's estimated time to be fifteen and a half hours long, I
was able to find a good deal of $1,114.00 on tickets and stay within my budget ("IEagle | Cheap
Flight Ticket"). After arriving at the Brussels National Airport, I will take the free airport shuttle to
my hotel. Because of the unique views and the many

My Reflection On My Job
It being a Saturday morning and I, having nothing to do, figure the most productive use of my time
is to do my 'weekly ' blog post that has unfortunately turned into a sort of bi–weekly blog post. I just
completed my first week as a camp counselor and I 'm loving it, but boy does my job give me
sympathy for anyone who has to work with children; I didn 't realize just how hard it is. Despite
its difficulties, my job has caused me to realize how crucial some sort of challenge is in order to
lead a fulfilling life. Oddly enough, my downcast mood faded when I commenced working. On the
book front, things are also improving. I completed August Wilson 's Gem of the Ocean in about a

Stevens has it all: funny poems, serious poems, spiritual poems; how can you expect a girl to just
choose one?
A brief respite was needed to determine which poem to talk about and I 've come to the conclusion
that "Restatement of Romance" is the one that will be most manageable to tackle–– in truth "Sailing
after Lunch" is the poem that I find myself most drawn to but alas ita too long. I figure there 's no
place like the title to start my analysis. What 's in a name anyhow? I think as titles go, Stevens is
generally a pro. This poem, in particular, is strange in the way the actual body of the poem relates to
the title. I was reading this criticism and the author argues that the title is unusual given the actual
text of the poem. He even goes as far as saying Steven 's poem "lacks any of the passion, sensuality,
sentimentality, or effusiveness characteristic of so much conventional romanticpoetry." I don 't know
if I agree.
I read that line. Then I read the poem again. Then I went back to the criticism. For me, there 's
always this sort of back and forth (if I 'm reading thoroughly and actively). I find the process
necessary to determine what I think; after all, critics aren 't right just because they 're critics. In the
case of "Restatement of Romance," I initially sided with

Why Did I Get My First Job?
As my junior year came close to ending I looked forward to getting my first job.
It's that moment in our lives where we take that first step towards adulthood. I managed to get my
first job towards the end of junior year. I wanted to get a job before, but I decided to wait after
finishing my SATs and ACTs. I wouldn'twant to distract myself from studying with working. My
first job was at a bakery that was near my house. It was a good distance and perfect for my first job.
The interview was nerve–wracking, questions about myself, why I wanted this job, and what I
wanted to be. The manager seemed impressed with how I answered and how respectful I was and
hired me. My first day was on a Friday and I would be working until closing. As soon as I got there
they were introducing me to everyone and had my uniform in hand. I was not the first one who just

At certain times it was so busy where I could not have time to take a breather. However, at other
times it was so empty that I didn't know what to do. I knew I had to be fast and make the coffee as
fast as I can to start on the next drink.
After my first day I was exhausted. All I wanted to do was to go home and sleep. My brother tells
me it's normal to feel that way after working hard. When my brother told me that, I felt more grown
up and mature because I started working. I felt more proud of myself for doing this.
As someone has never had work experience, it was hard being up all the time and dealing with
customers. Especially, because I was extremely shy. However, I had the support of my coworkers,
most of them were college kids. They helped me learn into everything because they all know the
feeling of that first job. They taught me the responsibility of having one and the benefits of a job.
Not only that, but having a job as a teenager is the first step to becoming a responsible

My First Day At My Job
When I start the first day at my job everything seems okay and I feel very excited. To start off I am
barely learning, I have no idea what is going on, and I am being taught how to do my job. It's
very confusing to start out because I have no clue about the job itself. When I get confused, often
times the manager loses their patience and they might get after me if too many mistakes are
being made. Furthermore, this results to many frustrations on job down the line, and now all of a
sudden the thought of giving up comes to mind. It's very important that I learn all of the
respective duties for my job of work, and gather that information for greater success down the
line. The more I process each duty, the more I get the hang of it, thus becoming fairly easier to do
the job. It takes a lot of getting used to and really getting to know the job, and with time I get
better at it. In a job it takes more getting used to, each and every day I'm learning something new
to process in my mind, also to learn from it and get familiar with every task. It's like gathering all
of the information together and putting them together to get started on what you need to do for
the given day. Once I have gotten more familiar with the job, and more comfortable doing it on
my own without the need for help, I realize that it is not so bad once I practice and familiarize
myself with the work. Practicing really gives me the best results in the end. There was a particular
job that I once experienced

I would have improved this practicum by making sure my supervisors treated me more like an
intern instead of a paid employee. My practicum was different than a traditional internship
because I was hired as a seasonal employee, who also happened to be getting practicum credit by
working at Tweetsie. I think that my supervisors looked at me as a normal employee and because
of that I wasn't able to get a variety of experiences. Despite the fact that I excelled at my job and
took on more responsibilities I was never able to learn why processes or rules were put in place.
For example, I learned how to process groups coming through the park only because they come
through the ticket office. I would have loved to spend a day with the Group Sales Manager and
watched how she did her job. I would have also loved to spend a day with different departments
learning why they were important and what activities were specific to their departments. Part of that
could have been partially my fault for not asking to be shown more things or shadow other people
but I also think my supervisor could have made more of an initiative. Overall, I'd say that this
practicum could have been made better by utilizing all of the departments and skills throughout the
whole park instead of sticking to just my assigned department.
I think that my previous courses prepared me for what to expect from management. All of my
recreation management classes have focused on how to run or be involved in an upper level

In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students,

approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different
learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different
methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation
which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem,
coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally
completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which
is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem

Descriptive Essay About My First Job
My First Job. Or should I say the first instance where I earned a large sum of money for working.
It was not that hard only moving a little bit of mulch. But it meant a lot in a different way. I was
becoming an adult working hard in return for a few scraps of paper. The paper that makes the
world go round. I was earning it through some tough, but short labor. The Work was let's just say
cumbersome. It was a warm day in March the sun was blistering hot, heating anything under it
like an oven. While a bitter cold breeze blew all the heat away. Except in my case, wearing storm,
including wind resistant pants and a shirt that trapped that heat right in. Let's just say I was
sweating in a few minutes. I hate my thick Wisconsin blood. The heat would have not been that
bad if my face and hands weren't rosy from the chill. The job was tough but I was growing up. I
quickly grew calluses on my hands and had dirt in my pores. There were scratches on my arms
and pine needles down my neck. I was starting to look like a man. I was starting to become like my
dad. Hands callused and skin tough and thick like leather. The palms rough with wear. I was only
beginning. Hands soft, muscles strong, but not hardened, built for work. This was only the beginning.
Ever hour or so another muscle group would get sore. Before long everything hurt. But I knew it
would all be worth it in the end. Every adult worked and I could too, the money was worth it. Soon
that was all that filled my mind the

My Job Essay

  • 1. My First Day Of A Job When I was a sophomore I decided to get a job. I applied to movie theaters, restaurants, and retail. I was lucky enough to get hired from one of the retail stores I applied to. I was jubilant! I was picturing in my head, me, rolling around in piles of money and wearing extravagant clothes! When I finally got my schedule, I realized that my first day of work was black Friday. So when the time came for me to in for my shift, I was super nervous. As I walked into the store around eight in the morning, I was bombarded by a hoard of people trying to the best deals before anyone else. I thought that since I had a later shift, maybe, the customers would have died down. Boy was I wrong. It seemed as though more people came in as the hours went by. All throughout the day I felt like a deer in headlights. I couldn't seem to learn the tricks of the trade fast enough and I really didn't know my co–workers very well. Most of the customers were not happy with me that day. At the end of my shift I was tired and cranky, but I decided that I was going to stick this through. What I didn't realize then is that I was walking into hell. As time went by I got the hang of things and I realized that I was actually pretty good at my job. I was proficient at customer service, but not so skilled at folding. A shift can consist of straightening the clothes and nothing else. That entails board folding, putting the clothes into size order, and filling in the missing sizes. I have had many of these Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. This memo is in attention to the current employees in reference to a job analysis of all positions on account of the fact that the organization must mandate the compliance of all regulations. As the human resources representative leader, it is my job to inform everyone in the office of what will be needed to be reviewed per the CEO of this company. First off the job analysis is only a thorough explanation of the duties the make up each of the positions that have been currently filled in this company, furthermore there are three focal aspects to this topic. The focal points include job requirements, competency–based, and job reward. The job requirements will consist of a report of what each employee does in addition to what is the proper procedure for the production. Correspondingly that employee must conclude that statement with what equipment and material must be used. The best way to collect this information is interviews, task questionnaires, and observations. The job analysis is only here to inform the each of the employees of the responsibilities that should have been met within the standard of the company and these standards should have been explained to all employees upon accepting their current job placement, thus stated will be a list of all the requirements in terms of aptitudes, attitudes, knowledge, skills, and physical expectations. The objectives of this job analysis will have to include the recommended and more importantly well–organized approaches for each of Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. My Job Shadowing Career You may be asking yourself what is a day like in grade school teachers life. I was curious of the same thing, which is why I chose to job shadow a Junior High School teacher/coach. I did my job shadowing experience with Chris Page, at Diboll Junior High. He works there as a seventh grade science teacher and a boys junior high athletics coach. This combination is very common in small school districts across Texas, that is, having a teacher double as an athletic advisor in their school system. I had the opportunity to experience this first hand recently and have had the chance to decide if this is what career I'd like to pursue. To summarize this profession I have done extensive research online and in libraries before and following my job shadowing. The average school teacher in the state of Texas makes about $57,000, he said that that was pretty close to what he actually made. As we all know teachers get a lot of vacation time compared to most professions, getting typically a week or two at Thanksgiving, Christmas, and spring break. Also teachers have an extended break in the summer months anywhere from the end of May through to the beginning of September, just depending on the area they live and work. On a different note, teachers have multiple responsibilities in their schools aside...show more content... My main mentor was the 7th grade science teacher, in that class the students worked in partners to complete a review for an upcoming test. But at the beginning of each class one of the school councilors came in to help the students create their schedule for the next school year. I think that was a good experience to have, it showed first hand as a teacher you have to be able to adapt to changing situations. Whenever Mr. Page, my mentor, got to school this was thrown on him, he had to modify what he had scheduled to meet the administration's Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. My Experience With My Job Essay "Tell me and I may forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." Learning takes place in many aspects, but for me I learned so much by my experiences. From my first job all the way to my current job. My experiences make me who I am today; After high school I went to college and graduated with an associates degree in legal studies this is I learned from my law teacher Ms. Campbell that " you won 't know the law by memorization but by Application" and that stuck with me all these years and I apply that fundamental principle to life. My Job at J.C.Penny was one of the first learning experiences that I had in the workforce. I learned so much allow me to explain. I started as a sales support associate and as a sales support associate I was in charge of offering items to clients and giving those clients any help as required amid the sales procedure. Also, to create and keep up positive client connections to guarantee clients retention. As a Sales supports associate I was required to met organizational objectives, (for example, those identified with deals) and work inside organization rules and directions at all times. This was just the tip of the iceberg for my customer experience exposure. Then after four months I got promoted to sales associate/ cashier. My job duties were to Guarantee that every Client gets extraordinary Client benefit by giving a Client well–disposed environment, including welcoming and recognizing each Client, keeping up exceptional Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 5. My Dream Career Of A Criminal Investigator During my career analysis I learned a lot about my dream job, some good things and some bad. Over all my passion on becoming a detective or criminal investigator became stronger and more intriguing. To become a criminal investigator I will have to receive my bachelors in science and have experience in law enforcement. Apolice detective does not need to go to college but it is highly recommended, the training people need to become detectives is commonly received at the police academy. The average wage of someone in the criminal justice field is around 58 thousand dollars (United States Department of Labor ). A detective can retire after twenty to twenty–five years on the job, what I have read is the retirement of a police detective is a very controversial area. Criminal justice field is a very dangerous career which means there is a lot of policies put in play to keep employers and civilians safe. Policies are made to keep other people safe as well as yourself. Every choice made is closely examined to insure you followed every policy correctly. A huge critical issue today is the controversy between citizens hating law enforcement, most of that hatred is because they do not agree with criminal justice policies. Criminal justice is one of the hardest jobs in the world because of the ethics involved with the job. After all of the research into the criminal justice system I became more intrigued in the career. There are so many reasons why I picked criminal justice as Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 6. What Is My Dream Job Essay Pursuing My Dream Job Everyone wants to be something when they grow up, and there are millions of professions to choose from. During my four long years of high school, I have learned and experienced many things in and out of the classroom. Some of it helped me decide what profession I wanted to pursue when I graduated, but I mostly got the idea when I was eleven years old and my sister had her triplets that were born premature. I want to have a job that gives back to the community, that involves children and infants. I've had a lot of time to think about what I want to be when I graduate from high school. As a freshman and sophomore, thinking about a profession was not a priority because I thought I had plenty of time to decide. As I approached the time that I will be on my own, I started to panic a little. This profession that I chose will most likely be my job for most of my life. I thought of all the terrible things that could come out of picking the wrong profession. What if I end up hating this job? What if I won't be able to meet the qualifications of the profession I decide to pursue? Thanks to my mom, she calmed me down and always had an answer. I was...show more content... The main one is because I will have the privilege to help the children and infants of my community. As I work with them, I think it would be so cool to discover their personalities and see their progress. I had nieces and nephews ever since I was four. I was drawn to them from the day they were born, spending a lot of time babysitting and playing with them. Because of this opportunity, I get to see how different each one is. I don't have any younger siblings, so when I am around my nieces and nephews, I learn how a child develops and matures. I understand how they act when they are going through different emotions. I think this is a great start to becoming a nurse, because now I know how to interact with and care for children and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 7. My Career Journey Throughout my own personal career journey, I have met and worked with many wonderful people. Many challenges that I have overcome because of the help they gave me. There was a lot that I learned about youth development, working alongside these individuals. There was one person that from the moment we met, we knew that we were going to be an effective team and accomplish many things that would help the students we provided services for. As her assistant I learned to be assertive in a leadership role, to make decisions that would help the program succeed, and to create partnerships with other organizations that provide resources, not just for the students, also their families. The person that I chose to interview, her name is 'Michelle.' She was not just my supervisor, she became my mentor and the person I can count on for any advice I needed regarding the field of youth development. How I met my interviewee, Michelle (pseudonym) I went through a rough experience in my life that affected me emotionally. At the time I was unemployed; I was looking for a new opportunity that was within the field of working with children. My mother found out through a friend that she was looking for new staff and advised me to contact her. I met with her, discussed my background, and from there a new journey began. 'Michelle' is a Hispanic female of Dominican descent. She is married with four children. She has worked in the field of youth development for more than 10 years. • 8. Sample Resume : My Job Essay My job is laid out in simple steps: hand each person a clear plastic cup full of cold tap water from the counter sink that is carried by a black plastic tray that we must balance with one hand; take their order; enter it in the POS System; wait for the bussers to distribute the food; check on them midway through their meal; hand check; collect. Of course there is sometimes extra steps, where the customers ask for a specific request, but most of the time, the routine never strays away from the norm. It's usually the same old, same old. Throughout the shift, it isn't rare to experience memorable customers. Almost all waitresses experience these kinds of people and Soho Park is no exception. After all, it is conveniently a block away from the tourist trap of Broadway, so there is no doubt people of distinct personalities decide to stop by for a quick bite. We like to categorize these types of interesting customers in a unanimous criterion. We mainly base these types from their personality and tipping experiences on past tables with similar qualities. "Whenever you print out a bill, make sure to write 'thank you' on the check," Codie says on my first training day. She writes in her signature narrow script before adding a heart at the end of her note. "Sometimes these notes will get you more tips." She prints out another check from her section and glanced at the table where two women were speaking in a thick European accent. After writing her typical thank you note, she adds Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 9. My First Job Experience My First Job Experience "Winning is important to me, but what brings me real joy is the experience of being fully engaged in whatever I'm doing." says Phil Jackson, a former American professional basketball player. People always whine about how their first job experience was terrible and there's only one reason which is not getting enough amount of money for their work. I think people need to think that job is not always about money as I discovered from my first job. About three years back, I had just turned sixteen and had finished 10th grade so I was enjoying my summer vacation just like other kids enjoying their summer vacation after a long school year. One day, my mother said I should get a job. She said it would teach me how to...show more content... The workplace was always very clean, which also created a nice environment around me to focus on my work. That's really a good thing because a nice working environment keeps me safe, healthy, and gives me more energy to do my work. This company was also very well organized. I feel I was one of the lucky one who got a job in very nice and organized company. I received a good salary, had a nice working environment and was given respect by other employees which were really amazing despite being the youngest employee. When I entered in this job, I knew nothing. I was completely inexperienced and unskilled worker but after working here, this job helped me to improve my working skills such as how to communicate with people around me, never try to be hypocrite, stay calm and focus only on my work. Having a job also taught me to value my own work, and what I put into something. As my mother said, this job also taught me how to handle my responsibilities by myself. I became responsible for some of my own expenses. This was a valuable experience for me. I learned the value of the money and taking my own decisions about what I spend my money on. • 10. The job of my dreams Essay My Job Now and The Job of My Dreams Who doesn't want the perfect job? Most people who are not happy at their current jobs are usually looking for something better. Some people look for better hours, environment, or maybe just a substantial raise. Where there are advantages in jobs, there is usually going to be at least one small disadvantage. Weighing out the options can help people make the right choices. Although we would all like to have the job of our dreams, unfortunately, it only happens to a few of us. My present job consists of customer service, daily paperwork, as well as opening and closing the store. My employer keeps us quite busy all day long. The hardest part of my...show more content... Whenever there is a problem that I cannot handle, he usually takes care of it. This means a lot to me, especially since he goes beyond the call of duty. Another advantage is I can usually ask off with no questions asked. Finally, my coworkers are very good people and have become like family to me. My nice manager, vacation time, and friendly coworkers make up for all the disadvantages of my job. I would love to be able to snap my fingers and be in the job of my dreams. Number one on my list would be to talk and work with people, but not have to deal with them all day long. I have always enjoyed working with people; however, I have worked for the public for thirteen years. I'd like to break the monotony and have a small office job for a while. In this dream job, the boss would be me! I would have my own assistant to do all of my undesirable tasks. I would work Monday through Thursday with the rest of the week off. The weekends would finally be mine. Next, my job would be by appointment only, so I could have my own time to relax. My office would have a sofa so that I could take naps on my lunch hour. There would also be a window I could open that overlooked the ocean. My paycheck would be increased to double what I make now. I could have the finer things in life. All of the luxury items I want would be available to me. Finally, My dream job would be a stress–free job! The job of my dreams and Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 11. My Experience At My Part Time Job Over the past few months, I have been working diligently at my part time job. After saving every last penny that I earned, I now have a total of $3,000. What better way to spend my summer earnings than to treat myself to an extravagant vacation? To make my extremely difficult decision of where to go easier, I have narrowed down my choice to only two destinations: Brussels, Belgium, and Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Although I have simplified my selection to only two vacations, the decision is still quite difficult; after comparing my transportation costs, the price of my hotel and other essential accommodations, average meal prices, and the exciting excursions I have planned, my decision should come much easier. Every child's dream, including mine, is to be surrounded by chocolate for a week; this dream of mine has lured me to consider Brussels, Belgium, as a lavish vacation spot. Before I can begin my journey there, I have decided to organize a detailed plan of my exhilarating vacation. First, my family generously offered to drive me to the Memphis International Airport in Tennessee, where I will board my first flight to Belgium on June first. Aside from my flight's estimated time to be fifteen and a half hours long, I was able to find a good deal of $1,114.00 on tickets and stay within my budget ("IEagle | Cheap Flight Ticket"). After arriving at the Brussels National Airport, I will take the free airport shuttle to my hotel. Because of the unique views and the many Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 12. My Reflection On My Job It being a Saturday morning and I, having nothing to do, figure the most productive use of my time is to do my 'weekly ' blog post that has unfortunately turned into a sort of bi–weekly blog post. I just completed my first week as a camp counselor and I 'm loving it, but boy does my job give me sympathy for anyone who has to work with children; I didn 't realize just how hard it is. Despite its difficulties, my job has caused me to realize how crucial some sort of challenge is in order to lead a fulfilling life. Oddly enough, my downcast mood faded when I commenced working. On the book front, things are also improving. I completed August Wilson 's Gem of the Ocean in about a day and in doing so, I felt at least a little like myself again....show more content... Stevens has it all: funny poems, serious poems, spiritual poems; how can you expect a girl to just choose one? A brief respite was needed to determine which poem to talk about and I 've come to the conclusion that "Restatement of Romance" is the one that will be most manageable to tackle–– in truth "Sailing after Lunch" is the poem that I find myself most drawn to but alas ita too long. I figure there 's no place like the title to start my analysis. What 's in a name anyhow? I think as titles go, Stevens is generally a pro. This poem, in particular, is strange in the way the actual body of the poem relates to the title. I was reading this criticism and the author argues that the title is unusual given the actual text of the poem. He even goes as far as saying Steven 's poem "lacks any of the passion, sensuality, sentimentality, or effusiveness characteristic of so much conventional romanticpoetry." I don 't know if I agree. I read that line. Then I read the poem again. Then I went back to the criticism. For me, there 's always this sort of back and forth (if I 'm reading thoroughly and actively). I find the process necessary to determine what I think; after all, critics aren 't right just because they 're critics. In the case of "Restatement of Romance," I initially sided with Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Why Did I Get My First Job? As my junior year came close to ending I looked forward to getting my first job. It's that moment in our lives where we take that first step towards adulthood. I managed to get my first job towards the end of junior year. I wanted to get a job before, but I decided to wait after finishing my SATs and ACTs. I wouldn'twant to distract myself from studying with working. My first job was at a bakery that was near my house. It was a good distance and perfect for my first job. The interview was nerve–wracking, questions about myself, why I wanted this job, and what I wanted to be. The manager seemed impressed with how I answered and how respectful I was and hired me. My first day was on a Friday and I would be working until closing. As soon as I got there they were introducing me to everyone and had my uniform in hand. However, at other times it was so empty that I didn't know what to do. I knew I had to be fast and make the coffee as fast as I can to start on the next drink. After my first day I was exhausted. All I wanted to do was to go home and sleep. My brother tells me it's normal to feel that way after working hard. When my brother told me that, I felt more grown up and mature because I started working. I felt more proud of myself for doing this. As someone has never had work experience, it was hard being up all the time and dealing with customers. Especially, because I was extremely shy. However, I had the support of my coworkers, most of them were college kids. They helped me learn into everything because they all know the feeling of that first job. • 14. My First Day At My Job When I start the first day at my job everything seems okay and I feel very excited. To start off I am barely learning, I have no idea what is going on, and I am being taught how to do my job. It's very confusing to start out because I have no clue about the job itself. When I get confused, often times the manager loses their patience and they might get after me if too many mistakes are being made. Furthermore, this results to many frustrations on job down the line, and now all of a sudden the thought of giving up comes to mind. It's very important that I learn all of the respective duties for my job of work, and gather that information for greater success down the line. The more I process each duty, the more I get the hang of it, thus becoming fairly easier to do the job. It takes a lot of getting used to and really getting to know the job, and with time I get better at it. In a job it takes more getting used to, each and every day I'm learning something new to process in my mind, also to learn from it and get familiar with every task. It's like gathering all of the information together and putting them together to get started on what you need to do for the given day. Once I have gotten more familiar with the job, and more comfortable doing it on my own without the need for help, I realize that it is not so bad once I practice and familiarize myself with the work. Practicing really gives me the best results in the end. There was a particular job that I once experienced Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 15. My Experience At My Job I would have improved this practicum by making sure my supervisors treated me more like an intern instead of a paid employee. My practicum was different than a traditional internship because I was hired as a seasonal employee, who also happened to be getting practicum credit by working at Tweetsie. I think that my supervisors looked at me as a normal employee and because of that I wasn't able to get a variety of experiences. Despite the fact that I excelled at my job and took on more responsibilities I was never able to learn why processes or rules were put in place. For example, I learned how to process groups coming through the park only because they come through the ticket office. I would have loved to spend a day with the Group Sales Manager and watched how she did her job. I would have also loved to spend a day with different departments learning why they were important and what activities were specific to their departments. Part of that could have been partially my fault for not asking to be shown more things or shadow other people but I also think my supervisor could have made more of an initiative. Overall, I'd say that this practicum could have been made better by utilizing all of the departments and skills throughout the whole park instead of sticking to just my assigned department. I think that my previous courses prepared me for what to expect from management. All of my recreation management classes have focused on how to run or be involved in an upper level Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 16. My Career as a Teacher Essay As I begin my rewarding career as I teacher, I sit and reflect on what my goals and priorities are in the classroom. I am excited to be engaged in a future career where I can implement my own beliefs and mold the future into something extremely positive. I believe the most important aspects that I want to bring to my students are threefold: I want to educate, motivate, and inspire. In order to have a productive learning environment where I will be able to educate my students, many different factors must take place. I understand that every child learns differently and understanding how to use different approaches in each lesson plan will benefit every student. Not only is it important to use different learning styles but I will also use different teaching styles during the curriculum. The different methods I would like to use to teach my lessons include but are not limited to; scientific investigation which uses the scientific method. The scientific method includes first investigating the problem, coming up with a logical hypothesis, performing the experiment, reading the results, and finally completing an analysis of the results. The next method I would explore is decision making which is the thought process of selecting a logical choice from the available options. Next is problem solving. When I teach the students to problem solve accurately they be able to overcome obstacles and find a solution that best resolves the issue. Next, I will help my students think critically which includes identification and evaluation to problem solving. Finally, I will use the method of cooperative learning which is an approach to organizing classroom activities into academic and social learning experience. I believe that every one of these method can be valued Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 19. Descriptive Essay About My First Job My First Job. Or should I say the first instance where I earned a large sum of money for working. It was not that hard only moving a little bit of mulch. But it meant a lot in a different way. I was becoming an adult working hard in return for a few scraps of paper. The paper that makes the world go round. I was earning it through some tough, but short labor. The Work was let's just say cumbersome. It was a warm day in March the sun was blistering hot, heating anything under it like an oven. While a bitter cold breeze blew all the heat away. Except in my case, wearing storm, including wind resistant pants and a shirt that trapped that heat right in. Let's just say I was sweating in a few minutes. I hate my thick Wisconsin blood. The heat would have not been that bad if my face and hands weren't rosy from the chill. The job was tough but I was growing up. I quickly grew calluses on my hands and had dirt in my pores. There were scratches on my arms and pine needles down my neck. I was starting to look like a man. I was starting to become like my dad. Hands callused and skin tough and thick like leather. The palms rough with wear. I was only beginning. Hands soft, muscles strong, but not hardened, built for work. This was only the beginning. Ever hour or so another muscle group would get sore. Before long everything hurt. But I knew it would all be worth it in the end. Every adult worked and I could too, the money was worth it. Soon that was all that filled my mind the Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 20. My Experience At My Job I worked the seven am to three pm shifts April 1st, April 2nd, and April 3rd this weekend is considered one of the busiest weekends of the year for The Courtyard.. This was my second year working bridge run weekend. We have entered our busy season at the hotel, the phone never stops ringing. Most of my coworkers consider bridge run weekend to be one of the craziest weekends of the year. After my experiences working with our hot water issues I now feel equipped to handle anything thrown my way. Bridge run weekend felt like a piece of cake to me. My shift seven to three shift on Friday was tiring and stressful like most shifts at the Courtyard are. Our hotel doesn't use centralized reservations so the phone rings constantly. I have talked to management about her. My AGM wasted an hour of my time back in September. We had a private meeting and I told her about the coworker's racist comments and about how she is habitually late and refuses to be a team player. I was promised that she was going to be fired in November. Management never fired her. I went to Cheryl my General Manager and told her what was going on she laughed and told me to "get over it". Cheryl allows this coworker to stay at the Courtyard yet she makes jokes about her behind her back. She and my AGM allow her to get away with murder and joke about her behind her back. When she actually acts normal and shows up on time Cheryl and the AGM make jokes about how my coworker must be "getting laid". It embarrasses me to even write have to write this but this is what occurs when I am at work. My coworker who was working her two weeks' notice came into work at two to work an hour with me.
