Dwight discovers that Juliet has a son named Elliot with David. Juliet does not want David to know about Elliot yet. Dwight promises not to tell David about Elliot for now. At Emma's toddler tossing party, it is celebrated that she has her grandfather's nose. Titania then announces she is expecting their second child. The Familiar family celebrates the winter holidays, exchanging gifts. Dwight considers telling David about seeing Juliet and Elliot but decides against it since David does not want to discuss Juliet.

1. Welcome Back to Familiar Faces!
It's time for Chapter Seventeen: Good Intentions

2. When last we left the Familiar abode, David Familiar and his bride Titania had just finished
exchanging their wedding vows. If you look closely you can see that Titania is wearing the
coveted Familiar pearls that were such an issue during David's relationship with his former
fiance Juliet Capp. But we aren't here to talk about ancient history we're here to move the
legacy into the future.
So onward we go!

3. The wedding itself went off without too many hitches, well except for the game crashing several
times due to the large number of sims that I tried to cram onto the lot at one time. Eventually it
worked and David's grandfather Chaz (who didn't bother getting dressed for the wedding) made
toast after toast to the happy couple.
The champagne eventually had to be deleted and everyone headed for the bathrooms all at
once. For a short time I feared that an apocalypse might be caused due to all the toilet flushing
but, we didn't get an apocalypse we just got clogs. C'est La Vie!

4. "No Juliet I'm sorry David's not here at the moment. He's on his honeymoon."
*holds phone away from ear*
"Well I'm sorry that you had to find out this way, but I don't think you should be surprised. Would
you like me to give him a message for you?"
"Dear, I really don't think it'd be proper for his mother to say that to him, why don't I just tell him
that you called okay?"

5. Home from their honeymoon David and Titania did what most newly wed legacy couples do with
their honeymoon max motives.
No they didn't play bridge, or MyShuno or even pool. Gosh do I really have to spell it out for
you?

6. Well whatever they did Titania very quickly announced that she was expecting their first child. It
would be an early winter baby.
I guess now's as good a time as any to show Titania's stats

7. David was of course excited by the prospect of impending father hood, almost as excited as he
was about finally befriending pack leader Maya or about reaching the top of the criminal track
and completing his lifetime want to be a Criminal Mastermind. The prospect of a little minion
was almost as interesting as the news that Carlisle Dreamer had been abducted by aliens
proving yet again that they were still out there and still recruiting.

8. And so in hopes of fulfilling at least one of his supernatural quests for success, David took to
stargazing all night every night. He would stop only to greet any wolf that happened to walk on
the lot. Pulling out the cool shades and feeding treats in order to be allowed to belly rub and
play razzle with the wolf, there were even a few that eventually let him teach them tricks but
none that would nibble on him.

9. In due course Titania went into labor in the basement of the family house, Garden Clubber
Armando Cox helped ease her pain with the soothing sounds of Jason Jordan on his Bluegrass
Guitar. As the family swarmed down to offer the usual less than helpful hints about spinning
faster, Titania blocked them all out and got down to business.

10. And it's a girl! Welcome to the world Emma Familiar!
Emma is named for the familiar face of Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger in the
Harry Potter movies.

11. The family is delighted with their second heiress; the only disappointment in her visible genetics
was the lack of recessive hair which had been hoped would pull thru. Emma has green eyes,
black hair and the lightest skin tone. We'll have to wait till her toddler tossing to see if her ears
grow any longer or more pointy.

12. The day following Emma's birth family mutt Buffy also gave birth. With much less fanfare and
excitement than sim births cause, Buffy and her mate Scotty produced a litter of three puppies.

13. "I want to keep this one! I don't know there's just something about his eyes that draw me in and
says this is the one. I'm gonna name him Eddie"
They're called puppy dog eyes for a reason David, but okay we'll keep Eddie.

14. As a family sim Titania fit right in with her in laws. As long as she didn't expect either of them to
look up from their snogging of each other for more than five minutes at any one time there
would be no issues. Fortunately you can get a lot of baby care done in under five minutes.
There was the small matter of the one sided crush she'd apparently been carrying for father in
law Cary since his college days. That was corrected with a slap and a few glasses of strawberry
juice passed around the household after she played witness to one of Cass and Cary's frequent
extended make out sessions.

15. On the other side of town a different red haired family sim wasn't getting much help at all when it
came to caring for her son.
"Well Elliot it looks like your Daddy is still refusing to call; I guess that means it's just you and
me kiddo. But don't you worry one smidgen we'll do just fine on our own, it's his loss not ours.
Now, I put fire alarms in every room so the nanny can't possibly burn down the house while I'm
at work, and tonight I'll bring a cake home with me and we'll have a nice quiet birthday party, just
you and me. How's that sound?"

16. "Jenn?"
Hmm?
"What's that tingling I'm feeling? My granddad senses are going crazy at the moment, it's as if
there's something going on with one of the kids and I should be there. I called Demi but she
said both of the girls are fine and Emma's asleep upstairs with Adonis watching over her."
I'm sorry Cary but it's not my place to tell you this time. I would if I could. Don't worry though
everything is going to be just fine. You just have to trust me on that okay?
"If you're sure then okay I'll trust you, you've never steered me wrong before."

17. Cary's grandparent senses are hardly ever wrong, there was indeed an event happening that he
should have been a part of. With a quick toss in the air a shower of confetti fell on young Elliot
Capp. His mother was quite exhausted having been up half the night with him the night before
and then working all day as a teacher, but she had the energy to fix him up in the mirror and pop
a few bottles of smart milk into his inventory just in case he got hungry while she took a cat nap.

18. From the side profile it's quite obvious who Elliot's father is, just in case there were any doubts
left. Unlike his half sister Emma, Elliot did inherit David's recessive blond gene along with his
nose.
Elliot Capp is a Sagittarius 1/9/9/8/4 he has gray eyes, blond hair and the lightest of skin tones.

19. If Cary's grandpa senses were working overtime so were Dwight's uncle senses. The next
evening he decided that enough was enough and he'd just stop by Juliet's house himself and
find out the truth once and for all.

20. "Dwight! Hi uhh it's good to see you, this isn't really the best time to visit though I was just
heading to bed. Hey you look different, paler, what happened to you?"

21. "Well the guys threw me a perma plat party the other night and they invited all my lady friends,
not the smartest thing to do of course. And well Countessa Katelyn wasn't happy to find out that
she was just one of many and not my one and only if you know what I mean. She wasn't the
only one upset about all that either, she was just the one with the best revenge."
"*giggle* Oh Dwight, are you sure your friends are really friends? But I don't understand, why
didn't you call the matchmaker and get some potions to clear up the infection?"
"Uhmm well she's not speaking to me at the moment, I'm going to have to get some off the
black market and that's going to take a little while. *shrugs* It's not so bad really it just puts a
damper on my plans for a tropical vacation to celebrate being perma plat."

22. "But anyway Jules that's not why I'm here, I think you know why I'm here."
"No I don't why don't you tell me? Did David send you?"
"I'm not my brother's lackey Jules, you should know that I'm my own person. Anyway, David
won't even allow your name to be spoken in his presence. You really hurt him, and he's done his
best to pick up the pieces and move on. He just wants to forget you. If things were different I'd
be behind him in that all the way, but I think there's something he doesn't know that he should
know and that's why I'm here."
"Well then you can just leave Dwight because there's nothing you're going to find out here."
"MOMMA! MOOOOOM!"
"You were saying Jules?"

23. "Dwight this young man with the extremely large lungs and the horrible sense of timing is named
Elliot David Capp. I assume you'll recognize the significance of his name. I also assume you'll
keep your mouth shut until such a time as I can properly introduce him to his father."
"Don't count on that Jules, David has the right to know."
"I'm not trying to keep anything from David, David is the one that won't talk to me remember?
I'm going to go put him down and then we can talk about it."
"Let me do it please? I'm a pro at it I promise, I've had lots of practice with Demi's girls."

24. "So you're my nephew huh? Welp I'm your Uncle Dwight. I don't think I have any other nephew's
at the moment, you're the first one, maybe the only one. That makes you special, got that?"
"Special?"
"Yep special that's you! Now I'd better get you in bed before your Mom gets mad at both of us."

25. "Night Night Elliot sleep tight"
"Night Dwight"

26. "So I'll give you about five minutes to tell me why I shouldn't just walk over to David's after I
leave here and tell him all about Mr. Capp in there."
"Do you really think he'd believe you if you told him? And if he did believe you do you think he'd
believe I didn't get pregnant on purpose just to trap him or to somehow force his hand?"
"Well didn't you?"

27. "Do you really think that little of me Dwight? I thought we were friends, I guess I was wrong."
"I don't know what to think about you Jules. At times, I actually do like you and I do consider you
a friend or at least I did at one point. But I also think you're a bit of a self centered conniving
witch!"
"Oh that's wonderful, coming from you Mr. Love and Leave em Romance sim."
"I never accepted someone's proposal and then cheated on them with one of their best friends.
Yes I'm a romance sim, yes I've love many women and I've woohoo'd even more; there are
worst things I could do. I don't lie about my feelings or my intentions, that's your game."

28. "And I supposed you think your brother's a saint?"
"Far from it, I think he's all too human, which is why you could hurt him as badly as you did. He's
married and he's happy but I don't think he'll ever open his heart to Titania as far as he did to
you. You stole something from him that can't be replaced, his trust. He deserves to know he has
a son, that Emma has a brother."

29. "I won't let him try to steal my son as payback, and that's what he'd try to do. Elliot's mine, I
didn't plan on him, but he was very much wanted. He's the only person I've ever had in my life
that was completely mine. David was never mine, he was THE HEIR, that was the most
important thing to him, he wanted to marry me not because of me but because it was expected."
"He loved you Jules."
"No he loved the thought of me, he loved what I stood for, he didn't love me, he barely knew me.
I don't see how Titania can stand to play second fiddle to a telescope. I never would have and I
tried to tell him that, over and over again, but he never heard me. When he decides to finally
listen I'll tell him about Elliot myself, until that happens I don't want anyone else to tell him. If
anyone tries Elliot and I will be out of this town faster than you can say legacy heir. And you can
make bet on that Dwight, so think long and hard before you go running to big brother this time."

30. "Now I think you should leave."
"Wait Jules, it goes against everything I believe but I'll hold off telling David for now. But I want
your promise that you'll let me see my nephew and be a part of his life. I also want you to let me
tell Mom and Dad, they deserve to know, they won't be around forever you know."
"If you want to see Elliot that's fine, I won't stop you in fact I'll encourage it. But I don't want you
telling your folks yet, or anyone else. I'll have to think about that awhile, your parents never liked
me, you know."
"Think about the advantages they could give him that you can't."
"They can't love him more than I do, and that's the only advantage that matters."

31. The next day at the legacy household there was a small private party to celebrate Emma's
toddler tossing. Just the immediate family was there. Titania got home from work in time to do
the honors, but David wasn't able to participate due to his work schedule.

32. She's defiantly your granddaughter Cary, I'd recognize that nose anywhere.
In addition to her grandfather's nose Emma got her mother's ears *squeee!*
She's a Taurus which makes her the first non Sag heir/ess since Abe
At 5/6/2/8/7 she's unique for a Familiar as in she's nice, she's also lazy very lazy but Gramps
will get to work on encouraging that as soon as possible I'm sure.

33. Despite Juliet's claims Titania at least doesn't feel one bit slighted by David's obsession with the
supernatural. While not as prone to stalking as Cary and Cass are David and Titania are still
very affectionate with each other.

34. Their affection was evident yet again when Titania announced the soon to be arrival of number
two. But before that could happen it was time for the family to celebrate the winter holidays.

35. We'd been waiting all winter for the first snow fall to happen and finally on the last day of winter
it snowed hard enough to cover the ground completely There would be enough snow for snow
men and snow angles and snow ball fights!

36. Decorations were pulled out of storage and packages started to appear under the tree with
cryptic tags attached to let it be known which ones should go to whom.

37. Emma's first present of the day was a full grown doggy all set and ready to be cuddled and
loved on. Eddie had grown into an interesting mix of his parents. He's got the shaggy coat and
bushy eyebrows from his father and his mother's cream and tan coloring.

38. Not to be outdone by a pooch, David and Titania had presents for all their children. A new
dollhouse was put in the girls bedroom for Emma, Puck was given his own MP3 player and a
hand held game that he'd been hinting about.

39. And Bottom received a selection of toys crafted especially for you by Grandpa Cary.

40. Bottom's best present of the day though came a bit later when Demi and Chay brought eldest
daughter Delphine by to help celebrate the day. The two girls took one look at each other and
instantly knew they'd found their forever best friend. Delphine gave Bottom lesson's in being a
Familiar, otherwise known as the finer points of chess cheating.

41. In addition to the family member's that showed up to help celebrate the holidays the Familiars
also had a visit from non other than Old Saint Nick himself. Santa hohoho'd a lot and then left a
remote control car by the tree,

42. Afterward he excused himself to take care of that persistent bladder issue that EA inflicted on
him, that's never been corrected. We'll assume that he enjoyed himself despite his problems
since he hohohoho'd all the time he was at the potty, and he did leave Adonis the present of a
clogged toilet to unclog, Adonis was unimpressed.

43. Dwight didn't know what he should do with the knowledge he'd acquired from Juliet. He'd made
a promise to her that he wouldn't tell David about Elliot, but he hadn't promised not to talk to his
brother about Juliet. In the past his attempts to broach the subject of Jules with David had not
gone well. After everyone else was in bed, the decorations stored away again for another year
and the snow almost gone for the winter, Dwight thought he'd try again.

44. He didn't get very far, David wasn't in the mood to have his holiday's ruined by the mention of
his ex.
"Don't you think it's about time you put Juliet behind you David? If you get upset every time
someone mentions her name you aren't as over her as you'd like everyone to believe."

45. "So now you're giving me advice on relationships Dwight? Have you ever actually had a
relationship? With anything besides the wishing well that is?"
"Just because I've never made a full commitment doesn't mean I haven't had any lasting
relationships. I've dated some of the women I see for better than six years and I'm still friends
with at least half of the women I've been involved with."
"And the other half vamps you or refuses to sell you cures. Speaking of vamping, hello
knowledge sim here why won't you bite me? Huh? Don't want to share do you? Guess what
neither do I that's why I dumped Juliet, remember?"

46. "Yeah I remember you dumped her and then moped around here for months until you
rebounded onto Titania, that's not healthy dude. You need to talk things over with Juliet and get
yourself some closure. Until you do that you're just going to have this hanging over you and your
family. You're not just hurting yourself by behaving this way, you're hurting your wife and your
kids as well."
"What do you want me to do Dwight, why are you so interested in my love life? I'm happy with
Titania and Emma and the promise of a new baby. What more do I need to do to prove to you
that I'm over Juliet? Are you afraid that someday I'll run into Juliet and flip for her again, leave
my wife and kids that I love, for a little tramp like Jules? Do you think I'm that shallow or that I'm
that callous?"

47. "What makes you think Juliet would want you back? She has a new man in her life who means
more to her than I think you ever did, believe me she doesn't want you back."
"Who? You?!? Is that what this is all about? You were one of the few that didn't get a piece of
her back in college, wondering what you missed out on? You want my permission add another
notch? I don't care what she does, the only reason I care about what you do is that I wouldn't
want you getting hurt by thinking she cares about you or anything."
"I'm thinking of you bro, I don't want anything to haunt you in the future. I don't want there to be
any old hurts popping up somewhere down the road messing with the life you and Titania have
built. But I've tried, I've failed, I'm done. Do what you want, you always have."

48. "Am I hurting you by not getting closure with my old girlfriend? I think your Uncle Dwight's full of
it."
"Full of it!"
"Shh don't let your mother hear you say that she'll kill me."
"Kill!"
"Blood thirsty little minion aren't you? Well it's time for all good minion's to be in bed so that
Daddy can go shake down some politico's"
"Shake em down!"

49. "You have one new message"
"Hi David, it's Jules. Just wanted to call and wish you happy holidays, hope everything going
well for you. I'd really like to talk to you sometime, I have something to tell you that I think you
should know. Call me sometime so we can talk or better yet stop by. Just in case you've lost my
number or thrown it away, it's 867-5309.

50. "Yeah Hi Juliet, it's David I hope you're doing well, I'm doing great myself. Listen Juliet don't call
here again, I thought you'd have gotten the message the first hundred times I didn't call you
back. Apparently you didn't, so I'll deliver it personally. Don't call, don't write, I won't answer. I've
moved on, I'm married and I'm happy. I hear you have a new man in your life, I'm happy for you,
but I don't want to hear about him and I don't want to meet him. I won't be talking to you later,
bye."
*beep*

51. "Bunnah goes Bam!"
Emma is the most destructive child I've seen in awhile. Seven nice points mean nothing, the
bunny gets bashed, the logic toy is yelled at, bottles get thrown and Adonis likes to point out the
dent in his finger appendage where he swears she bit him.

52. "There it goes again, did you feel that?"
"I felt something that's for sure. Say, is that a tootsie roll in your pocket or are you just happy to
see me?"
"I'm always happy to see you but that's wasn't what I was talking about."

53. "Come on sweetie, you can do it, almost there. Once we get you up and mobile you'll be ready
for your party tonight."
"Party!"
"Yep that's right we're gonna have a party for you!"

54. It was a small party just Juliet, Uncle Dwight, Juliet's "friend" Officer McAuley and neighbor Luke
Warm who never got out of the hot tub for the proceedings
So it was just a small cheering section that blew their horns and twirled the noise makers while
Elliot wiggled his way out of toddler hood into childhood.

55. "Okay Elliot, are you ready? Nothing hard about it, just lean over and blow *pfft* just like we've
practiced okay?"
"Okay"
"Hold up in there, don't start without us!"
"What the?"

56. There's no stopping a birthday wiggle once it begins, not that either Cary or Cass really wanted
to prevent the wiggle, they just wanted to make it into the kitchen in time to see their grandson
do his dance.
"I told you the tingling was coming from in here Cass. My grandpa senses rarely fail on me."
"Of course you were right dear, but what I want to know is how our parenting senses failed to let
us know Dwight was trying to hide something this big from us."

57. "He wasn't hiding it from you Mr. and Mrs. Familiar, I asked him to not say anything to either of
you yet. I wanted to give David a little while longer to get over himself and contact me. I didn't
think it would be fair for him to be the last to know about his son."
"Well you don't need to worry about that anymore, he'll be hearing a thing or two from me on
this subject once we get home."

58. "No! It's my right to tell David about Elliot, I'm sorry but it's not your place to do so. I've tried to
tell him and so far he's refused to listen. That's his choice. It's his loss, we don't need him."
"Then why haven't you just told him, if you were to tell him there was a child I can assure you
he'd be here in a minute."
"And he'd try to make Elliot a weapon in his battle with me, I won't allow that. David has to get
over his issues with me before I'll let him anywhere near MY son. Right now Elliot is better off
with no father than with a father who's too blind to see past his anger. I want you both to
understand that and to agree that it's my responsibility and my right to tell David before you go
in there and met Elliot, if you don't I'll have to ask Robert to escort you both home. If that
happens Elliot and I will be gone by morning."
"You'd keep us from our grandchild?"

59. "Who are you? Did you know this is my birthday?"
"Yes sir, I think we got that birthday part figured out. And well I'm your grandpa and the pretty
lady behind you is your grandma."
"You are? I didn't know I had a grandpa, what's a grandpa?"
"Well then we're even cause I didn't know I had a grandson until a few minutes ago. And well
grandpa's are great things to have, they like to fish and they almost always have candy in their
pockets to give to grandchildren that ask nicely, sometimes they have dollars in their pockets as
well."

60. "Grandma's like to bake cookies and build snowmen and make hot cocoa in the winter. And in
the summer we like to catch firefly's and eat ice cream cones at the beach does that sound fun
to you?"
"That sounds super!"
"I'm glad it sounds good to you too Elliot, I hope that we'll have lots of time to do all those things
in the coming year."
"Me too!"

61. "We'll give you a little more time to try this your way Juliet, but we want to spend time with our
grandson. We want to spend time with all our grandchildren. We just bought a vacation house
and we're planning to take all of the kids there this summer, just Cass and I and the kids. We'd
like to include Elliot, I think it'd be good for him to spend time with his family. All of his family."
"And what's in it for me? I'm sure you have a bribe in your pocket somewhere."
"Actually I have a tootsie roll in my pocket, but if your son's happiness has a price tag do tell, I'm
sure we can make some type of arrangement."
"I'll think about it."

62. "Oh Dear Wright not again!"
What's up Adonis?
"What, what, you mean I'm actually getting face time? Are you catching my best side? Is my eye
on straight?"
Adonis!
"Oh yes of course, Ms Titania is apparently having her baby, right now."

63. And indeed she was!

Elle is named for the familiar face of super model / actress Elle MacPherson.

64. "Yes another daughter! And this one has blond hair, how awesome is that. Guess what Mom
and Dad you're grandparents again isn't that great, four beautiful granddaughter's to spoil."
*mumbling and a handsome grandson as well*
"What?"

65. "Nothing dear, I'm just getting dotty in my old age I'm sure."
