Foreword
Welcome to AIESEC Singapore’s NST application package! We are excited at the possibility of working with
you to develop and enhance the AIESEC experience that we deliver to our various stakeholders for 13-14.
While NST positions have traditionally been a platform for senior members to continue contributing to the
organization and develop themselves further in a specific functional area, it is our team’s stand for the 13-14’s
NST experience to be more than ever.
We envision a more structured engagement points and responsibilities for every NST position created.
Besides undertaking a functional role, NST members can expect to participate in group and national level
activities or event in order to broaden their learning points. Through these engagement points, NST members
can also expect to forge a more collaborative connection between the MC and LC entities.
In the following pages, you will find more details on how the above will look like for you. But it is also our hope
that you start asking yourself the following as you decide on your choices - “Why not?” and “How can I make
this work for me?”.

• 2/7/2013 – 22/7/2013: Application for
NST through Google form
• 9/7/2013: Round 2 application released!
*interviews are conducted on a rolling basis
(as and when we receive quality applications)
August
• 3/7/2013: NST Induction Camp (3-7pm)!
*NST Induction Camp is geared at bringing
all NSTs together for a shared purpose and
understanding of the term ahead)
September
• 14/9/2013: Jumpstart Conference!
December
• 13/12/2013 – 17/12/2013: NLDC
Conference!
*NSTs are expected to attend these
conferences (either as delegates, co-faci)
October & March
• Mid-term and end-term review/feedback

National Support Team Application
Job Descriptions (2013 – 2014)
Financial Controller
Role Description
The Financial Controller will be responsible in supporting
the MC VP Finance in optimizing the financial processes
of each LCs after the recent finance decentralization
initiative in 12-13.
Duration: July 2013 – March 2014
Reportis to: Isa (MC VP Finance)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Conduct quarterly audits with LCs to ensure proper
financial administrative procedures are adhered to
2. Develop sustainability framework for LC’s finance
management and internal control
3. Develop robust MC - LC finance processes and
internal controls to improve LC financial
managements
4. Co-develop compendium for new financial model with
MC VP Finance
Major Stakeholders
Internal: MC VP Finance, LCPs, LC VP Finance
External: Auditor, Board of Advisor, Registrar of Societies
Key Performing Indicators
1. AIESEC Singapore meets RoS’s standards (financial
aspect)
2. LCs meeting financial guideline as outlined in
compendium and constitution (no. of financial
breaches)
3. Timely audits to be conducted
Key Learning
1. Practical application of financial management skills
(ie, internal audit, financial planning, etc)
2. First hand exposure to financial change management
3. Project management
Expectations
1. 10 hours weekly (bi-weekly meeting)
2. Participation in financial trainings and relevant
taskforce created pertaining to scope of
responsibilities
3. Accounting/audit/finance background is preferred
Financial Operations Analyst
Role Description
The Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible in
supporting the MC VP Finance in areas of financial
administration and management.
Duration: July 2013 – June 2014
Reports to: Isa (MC VP Finance)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Document financial transactions through the
Xero system.
2. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting
and analyzing account information.
3. Prepare quarterly reporting of AIESEC
Singapore’s financials
4. Prepare regular disbursements of finances to
relevant stakeholders

Internal: MC VP Finance, LCPs, LC VP Finance,

External: Auditor, Board of Advisor, Vendors

1. Accurate entries and management of Xero
2. Timely financial reporting and disbursement

Fund Manager
Role Description
The Fund Manager will be responsible in supporting the
MC VP Finance to manage the available funds for the
purpose of scale management and program
enhancement.
Duration: July 2013 – March 2014
Reports to: Isa (MC VP Finance)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Develop framework, assess application, track
and manage Leadership Development Fund
2. Develop framework, assess proposals and
manage Project-Initiative fund
3. Develop framework, assess application, track
and mange bursaries
4. Analyze investment possibilities and reserve
management

External: AIESEC alumni, Board of Advisor

1. Effective utilization of funds and bursaries
2. Percentage of strategic financial objectives achieved

Online Marketing Manager
Role Description
The Online Marketing Manager will be responsible in
supporting the MC VP Youth Marketing to manage and
enhance AIESEC Singapore’s online presence.
Duration: July 2013 – June 2014
Reports to: Nada (MC VP Youth Marketing)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Manage existing social media and website
content of AIESEC Singapore (ie,Facebook,
Twitter, Youtube and LinkedIn)
2. Develop online promotion campaigns /creating
quarterly content plan for social media, PPC
campaigns, promotion through other fanpages,
viral marketing, newsletters/
3. Develop a blog for AIESEC Singapore for the
purpose of showcasing impact
4. Monitor social media trends, tools & applications
through monthly reporting

Internal: MC VP Youth Marketing, LC VP YM
External: Social media developer, designer
Key Performing Indicators
1. Traffic generated to online platforms managed
2. Percentage of growth in application for recruitment
through Online Recruitment System (ORS)
3. Timely reporting of social media trends generated

Expectations
1. 10 hours weekly
2. Strong interest in marketing/communication
3. Prior experience in managing online social media (ie,

Graphic Design Manager
Role Description
The Graphic Design Manager will be responsible in
supporting the MC VP Youth Marketing in managing the
external branding of AIESEC to the youth market.
Duration: July 2013 – June 2014
Reports to: Nada (MC VP Youth Marketing)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Design the visual elements and create guidelines
to the Exlore brand (GCDP)
2. Create marketing materials and templates for
Explore brand as well as for key events pertaining
to the youth market
3. Provide advisory services to LCs on creation of
marketing materials
4. Co-deliver education and trainings on design with
MC VP YM
Major Stakeholders
Internal: MC VP Youth Marketing, LC VP YM, members
External: Schools, other student populations
Key Performing Indicators
1. No. of applications received based on marketing
materials created
2. Quantity and quality of marketing materials created
for Explore brand (GCDP)

4. No. of brand breaches on marketing guideline

1. 10 hours weekly (busier during recruitment cycle)

3. Prior experience in design skills (ie, Photoshop) is

LEAD Implementer
Role Description
The LEAD Implementer will be responsible in supporting
the MC VP Talent Management to manage and enhance
the existing LEAD program for the EB and Team Leaders.
Duration: July 2013 – June 2014
Reports to: Kar-Men (MC VP Talent Management)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Coordinate the implementation of existing LEAD
for EB with the LEAD partner
2. Identify and develop key focus areas of leadership
development for leaders of AIESEC (TL, middle
managers, OCP) besides that of EB
3. Pilot new LEAD implementation framework
geared at the Team Leaders of AIESEC
4. Engage and grow new/existing LEAD
partnerships

External: LEAD partners, training firms

1. Quality of LEAD sessions conducted (feedback)

Internal Communication Manager
Role Description
The Internal Communication Manager will be responsible
in supporting the MC VP Talent Management to manage
the internal communication of AIESEC Singapore. This will
be crucial in educating and building the identity among
members.
Duration: July 2013 – June 2014
Reports to: Kar-Men (MC VP Talent Management)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Manage the internal communication platform of
AIESEC Singapore (ie, newsletter, mailchimp,
myaiesec.net, etc)
2. Liaise and engage the LCs to develop content for
internal communication
3. Develop framework and channels for regular
feedback loop within AIESEC Singapore
4. Provide regular reporting of internal
communication trends (ie, average response rate,
conversations generated, etc)

Key Performing Indicators
1. Quantity of internal communication content generated
2. Percentage of engagement with members through
internal communications platform (response rate, no.

Business Relation (GIPi) Coordinator
Role Description
The Business Relation (GIPi) Coordinator will be
responsible in supporting the MC VP Business Relation
GIPi to manage and enhance the delivery of GIPi to key
stakeholders.
Duration: July 2013 – Aug 2014
Reports to: Rachel (MC VP Business Relations GIPi)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Manage national exchange partners accounts (ie,
UBS) in the matching and delivery of GIPi
2. Pioneer customer and partner engagement
initiatives to support business marketing
3. Develop existing partnerships to multiple
dimensions (eg: from exhange partner to
exchange and learning partner)
4. Enhance GIPi product package to enrich its key
value prepositions for its stakeholders
5. Engage relevant stakeholders of GIPi through
events organized

External: National partners, other corporates
Key Performing Indicators
1. Quantity of partnership delivery (Ie, NPS)
2. No. of partnership evolution and growth

Business Marketing (GIPi) Coordinator
Role Description
The Business Marketing (GIPi) Coordinator will be
responsible in supporting the MC VP Business Relation
GIPi to expand the market outreach of GIPi as a product.
Duration: July 2013 – Aug 2014
Reports to: Rachel (MC VP Business Relations GIPi)
Areas of Responsibility
1. Conduct market research of the supply and
demand of GIPi
2. Develop focus marketing strategies through
marketing channels (virtual)
3. Organize events that specifically targets the
outreach of corporates
4. Manage national exchange partners accounts in
the matching and delivery of GIPi
Major Stakeholders
Internal: MC VP Business Relations, MCs, LC VPs,
members
External: National partners, other corporates
Key Performing Indicators
1. No. of corporate markets outreach
2. Quality of market research output generated
3. Response and outreach of virtual marketing
channels

  • 2. Foreword Welcome to AIESEC Singapore’s NST application package! We are excited at the possibility of working with you to develop and enhance the AIESEC experience that we deliver to our various stakeholders for 13-14. While NST positions have traditionally been a platform for senior members to continue contributing to the organization and develop themselves further in a specific functional area, it is our team’s stand for the 13-14’s NST experience to be more than ever. We envision a more structured engagement points and responsibilities for every NST position created. Besides undertaking a functional role, NST members can expect to participate in group and national level activities or event in order to broaden their learning points. Through these engagement points, NST members can also expect to forge a more collaborative connection between the MC and LC entities. In the following pages, you will find more details on how the above will look like for you. But it is also our hope that you start asking yourself the following as you decide on your choices - “Why not?” and “How can I make this work for me?”.   • 4. Application Details Who? Open to AIESEC Singapore members only (unless stated otherwise) How? To apply for NST role, simply do the following – 1. Read this application package 2. Contact the relevant MC VP responsible should you have further questions on the interested positions 3. Apply for the relevant positions that you are interested in through the Application Form below 4. Wait for the MC VP responsible to contact you further for interview upon successful shortlisting What? As a prospective NST, you can look forward to the following – Individual Engagement • Regular coaching with MC VP • Mid term and year end review/feedback Group Engagement • Combined training • Induction camp • Participation in relevant OC/taskforce with LC members National Engagement • Involvement in conferences (specialized track) – as participant/co-facis • Networking with the external stakeholders (ie, interns, alumni, corporates) • Specialized training (internal or external) where applicable NST Application Form

Key dates to watch out are as follow – July • 2/7/2013: Round 1 application released! • 2/7/2013 – 22/7/2013: Application for NST through Google form • 9/7/2013: Round 2 application released! *interviews are conducted on a rolling basis (as and when we receive quality applications) August • 3/7/2013: NST Induction Camp (3-7pm)! *NST Induction Camp is geared at bringing all NSTs together for a shared purpose and understanding of the term ahead) September • 14/9/2013: Jumpstart Conference! December • 13/12/2013 – 17/12/2013: NLDC Conference! *NSTs are expected to attend these conferences (either as delegates, co-faci) October & March • Mid-term and end-term review/feedback between MC VP and NST *Some NST positions may be reviewed and added in subsequent months

  • 7. Financial Controller Role Description The Financial Controller will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Finance in optimizing the financial processes of each LCs after the recent finance decentralization initiative in 12-13. Duration: July 2013 – March 2014 Reportis to: Isa (MC VP Finance) Areas of Responsibility 1. Conduct quarterly audits with LCs to ensure proper financial administrative procedures are adhered to 2. Develop sustainability framework for LC’s finance management and internal control 3. Develop robust MC - LC finance processes and internal controls to improve LC financial managements 4. Co-develop compendium for new financial model with MC VP Finance Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Finance, LCPs, LC VP Finance External: Auditor, Board of Advisor, Registrar of Societies Key Performing Indicators 1. AIESEC Singapore meets RoS’s standards (financial aspect) 2. LCs meeting financial guideline as outlined in compendium and constitution (no. of financial breaches) 3. Timely audits to be conducted Key Learning 1. Practical application of financial management skills (ie, internal audit, financial planning, etc) 2. First hand exposure to financial change management 3. Project management Expectations 1. 10 hours weekly (bi-weekly meeting) 2. Participation in financial trainings and relevant taskforce created pertaining to scope of responsibilities 3. Accounting/audit/finance background is preferred
  • 8. Financial Operations Analyst Role Description The Financial Operations Analyst will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Finance in areas of financial administration and management. Duration: July 2013 – June 2014 Reports to: Isa (MC VP Finance) Areas of Responsibility 1. Document financial transactions through the Xero system. 2. Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information. 3. Prepare quarterly reporting of AIESEC Singapore’s financials 4. Prepare regular disbursements of finances to relevant stakeholders Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Finance, LCPs, LC VP Finance, members External: Auditor, Board of Advisor, Vendors Key Performing Indicators 1. Accurate entries and management of Xero 2. Timely financial reporting and disbursement Key Learning 1. Practical application of financial management skills (ie, financial tracking, reporting, etc) 2. Awareness of the organization’s financial transactions 3. Stakeholder reporting Expectations 1. 10 hours weekly (bi-weekly meeting) 2. Participation in the relevant financial trainings pertaining to scope of responsibilities 3. Accounting/finance background is preferred
  • 9. Fund Manager Role Description The Fund Manager will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Finance to manage the available funds for the purpose of scale management and program enhancement. Duration: July 2013 – March 2014 Reports to: Isa (MC VP Finance) Areas of Responsibility 1. Develop framework, assess application, track and manage Leadership Development Fund 2. Develop framework, assess proposals and manage Project-Initiative fund 3. Develop framework, assess application, track and mange bursaries 4. Analyze investment possibilities and reserve management Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Finance, LCPs, LC VP Finance, members External: AIESEC alumni, Board of Advisor Key Performing Indicators 1. Effective utilization of funds and bursaries 2. Percentage of strategic financial objectives achieved through funds and bursaries Key Learning 1. Practical application of fund management and investment management 2. Project management Expectations 1. 10 hours weekly (bi-weekly meeting) 2. Past Team Leader or EB background is preferred
  • 10. Online Marketing Manager Role Description The Online Marketing Manager will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Youth Marketing to manage and enhance AIESEC Singapore’s online presence. Duration: July 2013 – June 2014 Reports to: Nada (MC VP Youth Marketing) Areas of Responsibility 1. Manage existing social media and website content of AIESEC Singapore (ie,Facebook, Twitter, Youtube and LinkedIn) 2. Develop online promotion campaigns /creating quarterly content plan for social media, PPC campaigns, promotion through other fanpages, viral marketing, newsletters/ 3. Develop a blog for AIESEC Singapore for the purpose of showcasing impact 4. Monitor social media trends, tools & applications through monthly reporting Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Youth Marketing, LC VP YM External: Social media developer, designer Key Performing Indicators 1. Traffic generated to online platforms managed 2. Percentage of growth in application for recruitment through Online Recruitment System (ORS) 3. Timely reporting of social media trends generated Key Learning 1. Practical application of marketing and communication skills 2. Project management 3. Management of online platforms Expectations 1. 10 hours weekly 2. Strong interest in marketing/communication 3. Prior experience in managing online social media (ie, Facebook, Twitter, Youtube) is preferred
  • 11. Graphic Design Manager Role Description The Graphic Design Manager will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Youth Marketing in managing the external branding of AIESEC to the youth market. Duration: July 2013 – June 2014 Reports to: Nada (MC VP Youth Marketing) Areas of Responsibility 1. Design the visual elements and create guidelines to the Exlore brand (GCDP) 2. Create marketing materials and templates for Explore brand as well as for key events pertaining to the youth market 3. Provide advisory services to LCs on creation of marketing materials 4. Co-deliver education and trainings on design with MC VP YM Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Youth Marketing, LC VP YM, members External: Schools, other student populations Key Performing Indicators 1. No. of applications received based on marketing materials created 2. Quantity and quality of marketing materials created for Explore brand (GCDP) 3. No. of trainings delivered to LC 4. No. of brand breaches on marketing guideline Key Learning 1. Brand management 2. Practical insights into applying design skills 3. Marketing and communication skills Expectations 1. 10 hours weekly (busier during recruitment cycle) 2. Strong interest in marketing/communication 3. Prior experience in design skills (ie, Photoshop) is preferred 4. Compatible as a virtual NST role

LEAD Implementer Role Description The LEAD Implementer will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Talent Management to manage and enhance the existing LEAD program for the EB and Team Leaders. Duration: July 2013 – June 2014 Reports to: Kar-Men (MC VP Talent Management) Areas of Responsibility 1. Coordinate the implementation of existing LEAD for EB with the LEAD partner 2. Identify and develop key focus areas of leadership development for leaders of AIESEC (TL, middle managers, OCP) besides that of EB 3. Pilot new LEAD implementation framework geared at the Team Leaders of AIESEC 4. Engage and grow new/existing LEAD partnerships Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Talent Management, LCPs, EBs, TLs External: LEAD partners, training firms Key Performing Indicators 1. Quality of LEAD sessions conducted (feedback) 2. Percentage of achievement of LEAD objectives set out 3. Continuity of LEAD partner(s) and its program Key Learning 1. Practical insights into training and development 2. Project management 3. Stakeholder management Expectations 1. 10 hours weekly 2. Strong interest in training and development 3. Internal Communication Manager Role Description The Internal Communication Manager will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Talent Management to manage the internal communication of AIESEC Singapore. This will be crucial in educating and building the identity among members. Duration: July 2013 – June 2014 Reports to: Kar-Men (MC VP Talent Management) Areas of Responsibility 1. Manage the internal communication platform of AIESEC Singapore (ie, newsletter, mailchimp, myaiesec.net, etc) 2. Liaise and engage the LCs to develop content for internal communication 3. Develop framework and channels for regular feedback loop within AIESEC Singapore 4. Provide regular reporting of internal communication trends (ie, average response rate, conversations generated, etc) Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Talent Management, MCs, LCPs, EBs, members Key Performing Indicators 1. Quantity of internal communication content generated 2. Percentage of engagement with members through internal communications platform (response rate, no. of feedbacks) Key Learning 1. Business Relation (GIPi) Coordinator Role Description The Business Relation (GIPi) Coordinator will be responsible in supporting the MC VP Business Relation GIPi to manage and enhance the delivery of GIPi to key stakeholders. Duration: July 2013 – Aug 2014 Reports to: Rachel (MC VP Business Relations GIPi) Areas of Responsibility 1. Manage national exchange partners accounts (ie, UBS) in the matching and delivery of GIPi 2. Pioneer customer and partner engagement initiatives to support business marketing 3. Develop existing partnerships to multiple dimensions (eg: from exhange partner to exchange and learning partner) 4. Enhance GIPi product package to enrich its key value prepositions for its stakeholders 5. Engage relevant stakeholders of GIPi through events organized Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Business Relations, MCs, LC VPs, members External: National partners, other corporates Key Performing Indicators 1. Quantity of partnership delivery (Ie, NPS) 2. No. of partnership evolution and growth 3. No. of events organized and feedbacks gained from relevant stakeholders Key Learning 1. Develop focus marketing strategies through marketing channels (virtual) 3. Organize events that specifically targets the outreach of corporates 4. Manage national exchange partners accounts in the matching and delivery of GIPi Major Stakeholders Internal: MC VP Business Relations, MCs, LC VPs, members External: National partners, other corporates Key Performing Indicators 1.
