So much of what we do in our day-to-day involves dealing with and reacting to one off, ad-hoc requests. These everyday demands are typically unstructured and the individual is left to make sense of it and glue it all together.

Challenges of Everyday Processes
Things like approving vacation requests, tasking new jobs, assigning equipment may seem like one off items but they often occur and reoccur throughout many departments and organizations with actions and results depending on the input and approval of many people in the organization. These are processes – steps taken to get a particular end result – but because they are the stuff of everyday work we don’t always recognize them in this way.

Any typical organization has different problems, across different functional areas, involving multiple stakeholders that greatly increases the challenge of solving and executing these processes efficiently

Forrester looked at this recently and found the driver is all about better outcomes and getting them faster. Cloud is all about Agility. It lower barriers, enables faster cycles, allows iteration and an ability to “fail fast” with less sunk costs. It allows scale and flexibility and lets business focus other resources on more important things.
But I want to emphasize Cloud is ultimately still a deployment choice that is more Agile. What customers still ultimately have is a Business Issue and what is most relevant is how you solve that!
