From Molly Parsons: "My comic book tells the story how I created my first multimodal composition unit. Why a comic book about a video project? See question #1. I figured that the more technologies that I could try out—the more different modes of expression that I could experiment with, the better I could answer that question. The comic book taught me a few things. I learned that in composing a comic book, I had to cede a lot of the control I had over my message. I ALWAYS wanted to type more, provide more context (through words), but I had to try to let pictures communicate And this was very tricky! My goal was to tell a pretty complex story, to weave in all the questions (those I’ve listed above, and more, too) about importing computer / digital composing methods into my first-year writing curriculum."
