This document describes an art project called "What's in the Box?" where the artists placed two FedEx boxes with messages like "Are you scared?" and "I am not a bomb" in public spaces. Their goal was to challenge perceptions of anonymous boxes in society today. They found that reactions differed between cultures - tourists laughed, Germans photographed, and Americans called the cops. The reactions reflected societal fears and how unattended boxes are viewed with suspicion in today's security landscape.
