STAR Chart results can help provide grant money and other funds for schools and districts. Also used to measure teacher and student ability and proficiency. The STAR Chart is also used to track NCLB progress.

In what areas can I improve my level of technology integration to ensure the best possible teaching and learning for my students? What are the technology standards required of all beginning teachers and recommended for all current Texas teachers? What is my current educational technology profile in the areas of Teaching and Learning and Educator Preparation and Development? What evidence can be provided to demonstrate my progress in meeting the goals of the Long Range Plan for Technology and No Child Left Behind, Title II, Part D?

4. The Star Chart and My Campus… I believe that the results provided by the STAR Chart are very accurate and reflective of our campus. In the areas of Teaching and Learning, Leadership, Administration and Instructional Support, and Infrastructure for Technology we are either advanced or on target. I feel that teachers on my campus use technology in a variety of ways to help students, that leadership utilizes technology to improve out school, and that our school has a wealth of opportunity and resources to introduce and use new technology. We are very strong in these areas, and I agree with the findings and ratings. Our campus did score low in the area of preparation and development. Being a new campus with new administrators, it has been a challenge to find opportunities to implement technology in developments or trainings. However, with our districts change in lesson plan programs and other new support programs, we should see an increase in that rating in the coming school year.
