as a guide to determine if you achieved the
correct values in an artwork.
Good art has a variety of value, from the
blackest black, to the whitest white.

14.  CREATE A CUBIST SELFPORTRAIT in COLOUR OR
BLACK AND WHITE
1. You will create a self-portrait using a photocopy of
your face.
2. Copy the outlines and shapes of your face with a
pencil.
3. Draw lines with a ruler on top of the drawing of your
face.
4. Use colour pencils or graphite pencils to complete
your “cubist self portrait”.
