 It allows you to set up notebooks, Within these notebooks, you can add items.
 It has different types for the items - you can add products, contacts, check lists,
restaurants, books, recipes, wine, movies, etc.
 Springpad's notebook functionality allows you to place various item types in a
notebook.
 I find this particularly helpful for a snowboard trip that I plan. I can have
contact information, business information, maps, pictures, checklists, etc all
related to the trip in one location.
 It has what they call a Board for each notebook. This module is essentially a
corkboard view of your notebook an allows you to place the items in that
notebook in a visual manner on the corkboard. It is very handy when you are
trying to get a visual view of your entire project.
