EASC meeting, Almaty 22 May 2012
On the 22nd of May, 2012 the INOGATE Experts took part in the 41st Jubille EASC Meeting. The
meeting was held in Almaty, Republic of Kazakhstan, and was dedicated to 20th Anniversary of Euro
Asian Standardization Council. The Representatives from all the CIS partner countries took part in this
conference. International and regional standardization and certification Institutions were represented
by such organizations as ISO/IEC, CEN CENELEC, Austrian Standardization Institute, AENOR, BSI,
Polish Committee for Standardization and many others. INOGATE Technical Secretariat also
participated in this event.
Standardization is a very important part of the Component “B” of the new INOGATE Project. In this
context, during the Conference the EASC’s future steps and aims were established. The INOGATE
Experts had the opportunity to discuss the issues of consistent standardization, certification and
metrology policies, as well as to present their own developments in this area. Specifically, the
INOGATE Experts made the presentation of the new ITS Project, the presentations on the
activities of the BSI for the introduction of the Euro Codes, on the INOGATE Programme
and on Harmonization of Standards in production, transportation of oil and gas and
energy saving.
