This document is a summary of Surah Al-A'la (The Highest) from the Quran. It discusses several key points:
1) It calls believers to purify the name of God, who creates and guides all things.
2) God will provide knowledge and make remembrance easy, except by His will, for He knows all things hidden and visible.
3) People should heed warnings, as those who are respectful will benefit, while those unhappy will avoid them and face punishment in the fire of Hell.
4) Those who purify themselves through prayer, charity and community service will be spared, while those preferring worldly things ignore the better and permanent

SURAH AL-A’LA (THE HIGHEST)
MECCAN PERIOD
Division: 20
1-5Purify the name of your Rabb [the Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the
Sustainer] who creates, gives order and proportion then guides, who brings out the
pastures then makes it swarthy stubble.40
6—8We will render You a knowledgebase then spread the knowledge then You
will not forget/abandon. Except when Allah wills otherwise. Indeed, He knows what
is obvious and what is hidden. And We will make it easy for you “the Most
Simple”/what makes you happy.
9,10Therefore give admonition if the admonition yields/will yield benefit; those
who are respectful will accept the admonition. 11But those who are most unhappy
will avoid it. 12They shall be burned in the greatest fire. 13In that fire they shall
neither die nor live.
14-17Those who purify themselves, who perform Salat [Support others
financially and spiritually; strive to enlighten the community] in the name of Rabb
[the Lord, the Cherisher, the Nurturer, the Sustainer]; who provide support
financially and spiritually; who strive to enlighten the community will be spared.
But you prefer the worldly life. But Akhirat [Afterlife] is better and permanent.
18,19Indeed, this recipe for salvation is contained in the first pages; first pages of
Ibrahim and Moses.

Tasbih/exonerationof one’s name: “Tasbih”of a name [keepingfreefrom deficiencies andglorify] actually
means the “Tasbih” of theowner ofthe name.Because glory anddivinity ofthe ownerof the nameis expressedwith the glory
anddivinity of the nameitself. Therefore, purpose ofthe Tasbih ofa name is to keep our Rabb [the Lord, the Nurturer, the
Cherisher, the Sustainer] devoidof names andattributions that do not fit Himand to clear the stains attributed to His name.
Duringthe era, when the Qur’an was revealed, wrongandabsurdbeliefs were common among Arabs such as: A) Angels are
daughters of Allah, B) Uzair (Ezra)andJesus are sons of Allah,C) Some angels andidols have the ability to bringone close to
Allah, D) There is an ancestral relationbetweenAllah andJinn. Therefore, the purpose ofthe command, “Tasbih ofthe name”,
is to remove anddispose such names andattributions that may reflect these beliefs from among the names and attributions
(Husna Al-Asma) of our Rabb [the Lord, the Nurturer, the Cherisher, the Sustainer] immediately.
