OFFENSE will always come
• In times past, many people have
offended us;
• In the time to come, many more
people will still offend us.
• Of all the people that can offend us, it
is easier for our spouse to offend us
much more than any other person.
• Why?

Forgive please!...Quickly Forgive!
• No matter the offense of your spouse,
learn to Forgive Quickly.
• Every time your spouse injures or
disappoints you, Quickly Forgive,
even before he/she apologizes.
• Long before he/she asks for
forgiveness, give Forgiveness
generously.

Forgive please!...Quickly Forgive!
• Forgiveness brings your spouse in
YOUR direction and NOT the
opposite.
• It gives your spouse emotional &
psychological peace all the time.
• It portrays you as an understanding
spouse to your spouse.

Forgiveness vs Facebook
• Apart from making your spouse your
First friend, forgiveness draws many
other friends to you.
• Forgiveness makes many True friends
for you better than the facebook.
• Facebook may give you many friends;
but forgiveness gives you many
TRUE friends.

DIGGING out the COVERED
• Ps.32:1-: How blessed is he whose sins
are forgiven, whose transgression is
COVERED.
• Unforgiveness digs out your
transgression that were covered before
God.
• He keeps SHOUTING in the ears of
God that the person whose sins were
forgiven REFUSES to forgive.

• 1Jn.2:11-: ‘whoever HATES his
brother is in Darkness and Walks in the
Darkness…’
• You Can Not claim to love the spouse
you REFUSE to forgive.
• If you don’t forgive your spouse, it is a
PROOF that you Hate him/her and
darkness is not far from you.

Forgiving EASILY before Apology
• You are a LIAR if you claim to love
the person you REFUSE to Forgive.
• True love makes a person forgive
offense EASILY even BEFORE
apology.
• True love is not in you, if you are
waiting for apology before forgiving
your spouse.

• There is nothing like:
‘I don’t hate my spouse, and I
don’t love her/him either’.
• You either love your spouse or you hate
him/her.
• And since unforgiveness is a Proof that the
LOVE of your spouse is not in you,
• it means HATRED is already taking a sit in
you, and DARKNESS is not far from you
(1Jn.2:11).

• It is very possible to Hate someone
and not know that you are living in
hatred.
• You can Hate your spouse and not
know that you Hate him/her.
• Most of the time, the ONLY thing
used by many people to measure
hatred is bitterness.

• However, ‘that you are Not Bitter at
your spouse does not mean you don’t
hate him/her’.
• There are many other indicators of
hatred.
• When you stop showing love to your
spouse, either in cash or kind because of
offense, HATRED is already coming in
to your heart unknowingly.

• Whenever hatred moves, he does not
move alone.
• Wherever hatred goes, he goes as a team.
• Every where hatred goes, he goes with
his closest companion: DARKNESS
(1Jn.2:11).
• Why is hatred referred to as a ‘he’ and
not ‘it’?

• 1Jn.2:11-: ‘whoever HATES his
brother is in Darkness and
walks in the Darkness…’
• Every time hatred takes a sit in your
heart against your spouse because of
unforgiveness, darkness is always
attracted to you.

RESERVOIR of Darkness
• When hatred takes a sit in your heart,
DARKNESS has also taken a sit.
• When you Don’t forgive (which is a
proof of hatred in your heart), sooner
than later, you become a
‘RESERVOIR of darkness’.
• And every reservoir of darkness is a
carrier (‘agent’) of darkness.

RESERVOIR of Darkness
• And every CARRIER of darkness will
always RADIATE darkness.
• Every where you go, a Cloud of
DARKNESS follows & surrounds you
like an envelope.
• Every day of your life, a Cloud of
DARKNESS surrounds you like a
garment.

• Mat.6:23(ISV)-: ‘…Therefore, if the
light within you has TURNED into
darkness, how great is that darkness’
• CEV-: ‘…If the light INSIDE you is
dark, you surely are in the dark’.
• There is a light INSIDE man that is
far greater than any other light around
man.

‘AGENTS’ of Darkness
• But this light can be snuffed out &
turned into darkness by many things
including UNFORGIVENESS.
• That man is in BIG trouble whose inner
light has turned into darkness.
• Why?
• 1Jn.2:11-: whoever HATES his brother
…walks in darkness and does not know
where he is going, because darkness has
blinded his eyes.

Unforgiveness affects your FEET
• 1Jn.2:11-: ‘whoever HATES his
brother …WALKS in Darkness …’
• When you refuse to quickly forgive
your spouse, willingly you are leaving
the path of light to walk in the path
of darkness.
• And the darkness begins to tamper
with your FOOTSTEPS in life.

Unforgiveness affects your MIND
• 1Jn.2:11-:‘whoever…walks in darkness
...does not know where he is going because
darkness has BLINDED his EYES.’
• When you don’t forgive your spouse
quickly, something begins to happen to
your eyes (MIND).
• Unknowingly, a Cloud of DARKNESS
begins to form around your eyes (MIND).

20.
Error upon Error Galore!
• Unknown to you, your eyes begin to get
dimmer and dimmer until you become
TOTALLY blind in the MIND.
• The more you look at every situation,
the less you see (understand).
• Most, if not ALL your DAILY decisions
will be full of mistakes & errors, just
because of unforgiveness.
• It is a GREAT tragedy!

21.
Protect your INNER Light
• Lk.11:35(BLB)-:Therefore take heed,
lest the light that is in you be darkness.
• AMP-: Be careful, therefore, that the
light that is in you is not darkness.
• God is saying ‘do everything possible to
prevent the light in you from turning into
darkness’.
• God is saying ‘protect your inner light at
ALL cost.’

22.
Protect your INNER Light
• One good way to protect your inner light
is to RUN from unforgiveness.
• When you refuse to forgive your spouse
quickly, then you are not taking heed.
• When you refuse to forgive your spouse
quickly, then you are not being careful.
Your unforgiveness DIMS your inner
light on a DAILY basis.

23.
Do Yourself a Favour by Forgiving
• Every time you are offended, you CAN
NOT afford Not to forgive quickly.
• When you don’t forgive quickly, YOU
SUFFER THE MOST, even more
than the offender.
• When you Forgive Quickly, you do
yourself MORE favour than the person
you are forgiving.

Forgive for YOUR OWN sake
• Mat.18:21-22: ‘Then Peter came to Jesus
and asked, Lord, how many times shall I
forgive my brother or sister who sins
against me? Up to seven times? Jesus
answered, I tell you, not seven times, but
seventy-seven times.’
• When Jesus says forgive seventy times
seven times, He is asking you to
QUICKLY forgive for Your Own sake.

25.
Take time to Cultivate the VIRTUE
Forgiveness is not a gift of the Spirit,
but a VIRTUE that must be consciously
cultivated like a HABIT.

The day you start forgiving offenses
and trespasses as QUICKLY as they
come, is the day you stop being an
‘AGENT’ of darkness.
